This hotel looks as if it was built around 1920, and its facilities aren't the most
modern. (E.g., the elevator has two doors that you have to pull open.) Also, the air conditioning can't be regulated in each individual room. It only works if
the receptionist turns it on for the whole hotel. On the other hand, the personnel are very helpful. My car had a flat tire when I arrived, and I asked the
receptionist where there was a garage that I could take it to for changing. A bellhop, Raul, overheard our conversation and said he could probably change it himself, which he then proceeded to do. Yesterday, six days after leaving, I realized I had left behind a roll of film with 24 photos on it. So today I called the hotel and asked if it had been turned in. The receptionist remembered me, said he had the roll in his desk, and would mail it out tomorrow. This kind of service more than compensates for the hotel's lack of modern amenities. Also, the hotel's restaurant has a good menu at reasonable prices.
