ORIDA Hotels Newbury
"The breakfast was basic but the staff kept it replenished and were helpful when the temperamental coffee machine didn't work - again This point may be beyond the hotel's control but I had a room overlooking the inner courtyard and had to close my window due to someone smoking some kind of drug close to my window. Perhaps closer security, or a notice, would stamp this out - I don't do drugs, I don't want to breathe in others' drugs!"

"Location great. Uber options helpful along with other transport options including buses and walking by pavement or by the river path (watch out for bikes). Staff super helpful including Izabela and Ayesha. Breakfast good, staff friendly. Bar staff helpful too. Spa facilities good. Parking worked, electric charging available, chargers low charging rate. Thank you for looking after us."

"Upon arrival, a friendly receptionist greeted us and checked us in with no hassle. The hotel is very much a place to sleep and shower. We booked a double room, which is quite small and fits the bed with just enough space to walk around it. Storage is minimal, with under-bed storage large enough for two backpacks, and there is no wardrobe. The bathroom was clean, the AC was sufficient, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel if you simply need a quick overnight stay, as it offers good value for money."

Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. You'll be among the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available, making it easier to secure the best hotel deals.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find better rates for your stay in a Didcot hotel. For those seeking something a bit different, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and sometimes represent better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a more favourable deal.
- Consider your location: Opting for accommodation near key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. You could also look into independent hotels a bit further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
