I had a wonderful experience at this hotel for my husband’s birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The food at the restaurant is amazing! Couldn’t have been more beautiful! It’s even better than the photos and it’s everything you’re expecting more! It was such a unique stay - we stayed in a Luke’s lodge which I would highly recommend to have your own private outdoor area with a view! It was so cool sleeping and felt like a jungle with all the crickets and birds and ocean wave sounds in the distance. Very comfortable bed and we did not have any issues with bugs or excessive heat. Highly recommend doing the cacao chocolate tour takes about three hours and you not only get to make your own chocolate but learn about the history of hubby 147 acres state as well as chocolate generally truly one of the coolest experiences ever. The on-site restaurant was delicious as well but I will say being the only hotel restaurants and dining option for guests they really did not accommodate breakfast and lunch too well. Often times when you were trying to order some thing off the breakfast menu it would already be sold out or not in stock. There need to be more options and I think for the amount of money you are paying the food snacks in the room and the alcohol providers need to be complementary is just a nice gesture to guests. My only other negative con again would be for the amount of money that you are paid stay here you should really ensure that every part of a gas experience is fluid for example making sure the bags are picked up at the time that you say you will pick the bags up ahead of someone’s flight.
