This B&B is in a perfect location for walking around Florence. You are near enough to most of the famous sights and there are many good eating places nearby. Luciano, the proprietor, had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable.

The owner of the B&B was extremely helpful with directions. Breakfast was a buffet of delicious treats. The hotel was centrally located near all museums and walkable to the train station or the bus stop to the train station. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

My husband and I had a delightful stay at Locanda Orchidea. Luciano runs a great B&B. The rooms were spotless and we enjoyed the daily breakfasts. Luciano was flexible in check-in since we arrived late and he was very helpful in providing logistical information. The B&B was in a very convenient location. I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Florence.

Love the property, very clean and beautiful, very well kept for been a 800 year building. Restaurant right in front of the hotel and shops. Close to everything. At first, we had a hard time finding it because it is in the pedestrian zone, so we go stopped off by a cab a short distance away. Once inside, everything was wonderful. Rooms were nice sized, beds comfortable, the host helpful. Breakfast was excellent! It is easily walkable to every thing we wanted. The only bit of trouble was not finding a taxi on the day we left, a Sunday, so we had to bump our suitcases along to a piazza with a taxi stand in order to make our way to the train station, but we can’t fault our host for that!

The location is perfect, and the tiny hotel is perfect too, lovely spacious rooms, well-appointed and with excellent bathrooms. All the charms of an old historic building but every modern convenience as well. And the staff could not be more helpful and kind. My family stayed here in 1996, and we loved it then, but it has been very much upgraded since then. I would never think of staying anywhere else in Florence.

Recently returned from a few days at hotel Locanda Orchidea. The room was exactly like the pictures, location is fabulous in walking distance of all the main sights. The Duomo is at the top of the street. Breakfast was good, and the host very friendly. I would definitely recommend if you are staying in Florence and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
