The apartment itself was excellent - very comfortable with lots of space. Location was great with some excellent restaurants nearby. A place called Do Belo was our favourite and within 5 minutes walk. Staff were brilliant, but the check in process was a bit complicated as we arrived after 8pm. We had to go to the sister hotel to pick up our room keys before going to the hotel itself. It was only about 7 minutes walk between the two locations, but after a long journey to the Netherlands I'd have preferred an easier check-in process. I think we could have organised for the keys to be left in a storage box at the hotel, but the communication that went through hotels.com seemed quite delayed (due to automated responses I think) and so we didn't manage to organise the keys in time. If you're arriving out of reception hours then best to organise how you check-in in advance. It didn't spoil our stay at all, and we were very pleased with the accommodation.
