Overall good
Great staff, very helpful. Good food and a fair selection of drinks at the bar. Bathroom good, with nice shower. Bedroom - good bed, thin pillows and unfortunately even thinner walls. My 'neighbours' phone was set to vibrate and I could hear it like it was next to the bed, plus every tik-tok he watched.

We only stayed for one night so didn't get much of a chance to use the facilities but the staff here were excellent. They provided perfect customer sevice at every single opportunity; check in, breakfast, everything. The room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolates (not the usual 2 sachets that most hotels leave) and even had a few bottles of nice cold spring water in the fridge which was perfect on a 28°c day! I can absolutely recommend The Old Rectory, although I'd rather keep it as a secret so there will be availability for our future stays. The breakfast is also fantastic!

Amazing
Really clean and the staff where absolutely amazing, polite happy and couldn’t do enough to accommodate, breakfast was of a very high standard and good quality produce… would definitely recommend, only downfall was some of the guest didn’t have any manners towards the staff which is a real bugbear but that’s just me a please and thank you go along way (staff where still so polite considering) well done mr and mrs Solomon your establishment is great and the staff are amazing

Lovely picturesque area to stay
Very nice stay thank you, after I attended a local friend's wedding reception. Worth the money and very nice helpful staff. Great breakfast too. Manager lady was very helpful too when I needed a plaster after a mishap resulting in a cut finger. Room lovely and comfortable but may be better if the rubber bathroom mat is put in the bath, as i couldn't find it when I needed to shower. Didn't see it hanging on the back door. But wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommended! Thank you!

Difficult to decide what would raise this from a 3 star to 4 star hotel apart from larger rooms, bathrooms, TV screen & extra furniture because everyhthing in the hotel was beyond what we expected. Good choice in menu (although fresh filter coffee rather than the machine Americano would have been preferable), well prepared & the portions generous. We expect to go back on another occasion.
Keith, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall it was quite good except that the room was a bit small for it to be a family room for 4 as it seemed like the 2 single beds were just placed in the room wherever there was any space. The location was good and the gardens were well maintained. The breakfast was excellent.
