Great location, onsen was a great bonus. Breakfast was limited. Service was great. Best to book a western room if used to a bed.

Love love love the welcoming and friendly staff at this hotel! They were super helpful with any questions we may have and offered to help make a call for rental pickup as we weren't able to make calls via our phones.

Amazing executive suite

Definitely worth splurging on the executive suite! The private onsen is a game changer after a day of skiing/snowboarding!

Nice hotel but dated

Hotel was ok. Location good for walking around but carrying ski gear to gondola base daily is a pain. Main annoyance was the barely warm water for showers each day. Not very pleasant after a long day skiing Hotel overall quite dated. Staff were friendly and professional as always in Japan

Nice hotel

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Location ok for restaurants and shops but looong walk up to dot or gondola base with ski gear. Lockers tucked away in depths of the hotel. Water was barely warm enough to have a shower so that was a bad experience. But otherwise clean, comfortable enough.
Jason, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great ski in ski out location for Niseko Grand Hirafu. So convenient. Easy bus from Sapporo to the hirafu visitor center about a 5 minute walk away also. We loved the private onsen in our room. That turned out to be a highlight. Comfortable beds, clean room. The outside of the hotel looks a little rough. Needs a paint job but everything else was perfect!

the major problem with this hotel is lack of shuttle to take you to the bus station. You have to walk 15 min uphill with all your ski and luggage. it's a pain.
Alex, 7-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location, and convenient ski in ski out resort. The onsen is also not to be missed! Otherwise a pretty straightforward stay, no frills but what we were looking for for a week of skiing.
Sarah, 4-night trip

Room was spacious and onsen was convenient
Belinda, 5-night trip

Excellent location if for access to the ski lifts. Hotel reception area is abit dated however very clean and well maintained. The rooms and nice and modern with great views of the ski fields, hot springs and breakfast were excellent as well! Enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing stay here! Breakfast was awesome, so many options and the omelette chef is so good! Beautiful view from the breakfast room of the ski run. Ski in ski out. Ski lockers for free for each room, easy to use.
Divya, 4-night trip

Convenient ski locker with backdoor access directly to the ski lift. Free onsen inside hotel.

10/10 Exceptional

Old property but we stayed in the new wing. Onsen in room is fantastic. Limited eateries around
khoi how lionel, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Very old property. Private onsen was nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff helps to call for cab to Kutchan station. Ski in and out is convenient.
Tang Mui Rachel, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice traditional experience!

We stayed at a nice traditional room with private oncen. Good size and very comfortable (more than expected) and in great condition. Loved the ski in - ski out experience. Local hotel staff very friendly. The breakfast buffet included many options for most tastes. The hotel also has a public onsen available to guests looking for a more authentic experience.
Nelly, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

They really need to offer shuttle bus to Take you to the welcome center where the bus Station is. It's a 15 minutes walk uphill with all your luggage and Ski equipment.
Alex, 5-night trip

Pleasant stay at Hirafutei Prince

We enjoyed the hospitality and the facilities of the hotel. Staff were very helpful. We would like to compliment the front office manager Mr Tamura for going out of his way to find the transport to go to the Gondola station for ski lessons. There was also a Chinese lady at the front desk who patiently answered all our queries.
Mabel, 5-night trip

2/10 Poor

The public bath is super dirty. The dirty towels are all everywhere, even on the lockers. Very old room!
2-night trip

6/10 Good

Staffs are very friendly and very helpful. Major problem is the hotel doesn't offer shuttle to the welcome center where the bus station is. That means you need to carry all your skis, luggage and a 10 minutes walk up the hill on the snow to the bus station. No taxi would come because it's only a few minutes drive.
Alex, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

We had a western room for December (final week of early season). It was cold. No idea whether it was just my room or the central air-conditioning/heater is down. The in-room heater was not sufficient to warm the room. Asked for different room but they said they are full booked. Booked this property in July, so I was rather disappointed to be given such room. Front counter gave us a portable heater. That did the work but that thing was constantly in the middle of the room so that we don’t sleep cold. The onsen toilet is yucks. It reeks of urine smell. It’s horrible. And no slippers provided for the toilet….whenever I step into the toilet, it feels like I am stepping on pee stain then I walk all around the changing room. The hotel need to clean the toilet hourly or if not allow the patrons to wear slippers in the changing room. Oh and they don’t provide housekeeping daily. It’s every 3 days. The plus point is, this hotel is near amenities and food. Less than 10mins walk to seicomart and other food options.

Good Location to stay if price is good

I have to break down to different parts while comparing with Niseko Grand Hotel (which I have stay for 5yrs before switching to Yumoto Niseko Prince hotel;. Location: Good location Near Hirafu, but I need to walk about 200 meters with huge and large ski bag and luggage down and up the hotel as compared to Niseko Grand Hotel where the bus dropped me in front of the hotel. Rate 3/5 Price: Yumoto is more expensive than Niseko Grand Hotel because they charge extra cost to access to the Onsen. Niseko Grand Hotel Onsen is free. Accessibility to Ski Resort: Yumoto can ski in/out at back of hotel, but Niseko Grand Hotel will have to wait from its schedule timed shutter bus which is very inconvenience for skier. Friendliness of staff: The female staff (especially Ms. Kawaguchi) tend to be more patient and polite toward foreigner as compared to the 2 male staff. Overall: 4/5. The hotel is in good location to ski and wondering around without worrying of the schedule bus if you stay away from the Ski Resort. If the price is good ($450 or lesser per night), this hotel can be returned to stay.
