Upon arrival at the hotel I was told that my room reservation was cancelled, no one knows why, it was probably cancelled by the system. Excuses that probably the credit card was not the one they expected etc. I was further told to take all complaints and my dissatisfaction up with the booking company, that is HOTELS.com. Judging by the other people standing around, I was not the only case.

Hotel was OK, near busy road and no sound proofing of substance so disturbed sleep. Bathroom had a nasty smell which I assume was drainage as once I ran the shower it went. Had an evening meal on the first night but the service was very slow despite more staff than guests! Had to go and remind them of our drinks order on 2 occasions. As a result we had dinner out of the hotel the second night. Requested a taxi on a few occasions and it was suggested I'd be better to get myself an UBER, easy enough. Checking out, more interested in me leaving a good review than trying to efficiently check me out. Would say average hotel - service needs to improve. Better hotels in the area. Previous experiences in Turkey have always been a high class service - this wasn't at that level.
