Location fantastic, 3 min away from metro and very closed to Nyhavn and other landmarks, Breakfast really good for 95 Kr with continental breakfast: cereals, fruit, pastries, yoghurts, cheese & charcuterie, etc. It's worth it to go for a coffee and pastry to any local coffees as they are outstanding but it will be the same price or even more expensive than the hotel. Bedroom a bit small but it was enough for us. Bed very comfortable I would definitely go back

This was a great place to stay while in Copenhagen. We had 6 people, got 3 rooms. The rooms are tiny by US standards but very well maintained with privet bath in the middle of the room. Bath/shower is opaque glass which is a bit odd but meet the needs. The bed is a full which means that you and the person you share a room with should be comfy sleeping close to each other. The duvets are great. We slept well. There is a TV in the room which is handy for late night viewing. Breakfast is well proportioned. The location is perfect. Quick walk to metro and the canal. Lots of affordable restaurants within a walk at all price points from sit down to take-away. The lounge is large with a nice place for us to meet and play cards. Overall excellent experience for budget family travel.

Wakeup wasn't a super cheap hotel, but it was good my comparison for Copenhagen. It was a budget style hotel with smaller rooms, similar to an Easy Hotel but a little bigger. There was plenty of room and the shower area was clean and didn't leak water under doors, as some hotels do. The hotel itself was huge and there were so many guests. This made breakfast a bit busy after about 7am, but the price of the breakfast was good value and the selection was really good. They had fresh, warm bread every morning and these little pastries that were just delicious. I would definitely recommend the breakfast. The staff at breakfast were numerous and constantly refilled the buffet and collected plates. What I loved most about the hotel was the check in/out procedure. It can be entirely done via an app, without even using the terminals in the lobby. Your room key is then on your phone. The unlocking of the lifts was sometimes a little unresponsive though. The hotel is right around the corner from Kongens Nytorv, and the Metro there. That Metro station will connect you easily to the airport. I actually walked everywhere in Copenhagen. It's a very walkable city.

My stay dates there were May 12–15, 2026. What I appreciated: • The central location, which made it easy to explore the city. Areas that need improvement: • My reservation indicated a Wakeup Large room with a maximum capacity of three guests. In reality, the room was extremely small and contained two twin beds arranged in a way that felt more like a dormitory than a “large” room category. • One wall panel near the bed was broken. • The room had no desk and no proper nightstands — only tiny glass shelves barely large enough for a pair of glasses. The bedside light was too dim to be used for reading. • There was no safe in the room. • The shower had no cabin or curtain, causing the entire bathroom floor to become wet and slippery after each use. • There was almost no counter space in the bathroom, not even enough for a toothbrush. • There was no luggage assistance available; I had to bring my suitcases to the room myself. I chose Wakeup Copenhagen because of its reputation for modern, efficient accommodations, so encountering all of these issues was disappointing.

The staff was incredible. They went above and beyond to help. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. Being able to adjust the heating/AC was very convenient and easy- a definite must during the summer. The location was fantastic. It was easy to get around and was close to parks, canals, and shopping. I would absolutely stay here again. The staff (managers, front desk, everyone) was amazing and friendly. I would 100% recommend this as a fantastic place to stay.
