Nice Complex, be careful who you rent from
This complex is nice for families going to theme parks etc. I booked it to do a IM 70.3 race in Haines City. The location address said Davenport, it was actually in Kissimmee. Instead of being 10 min. away from the event requiring arrival @530 in the am, I was 45 minutes away. When I got to the gate Friday night I called the owner to get the gate code who then informed me I had to pay an $80 cleaning fee and a $250 security deposit. I was not told about this in 3 prior conversations. We made the best of the situation, but the carpet was filthy on check in (the owner blamed on the last people that were there.. doubtful). The unit itself needed some TLC. The rental company was Stoneman Vacation Location, if your listing pops up under this company I would not book. The Venetian Villages is a nice complex but don't book through Stoneman. Apparently they have rentals at other complexes so you don't know where you will end up. The lack of disclosure about the additional fees they blamed on Hotels.com. I spent some frustrating on the phone with both parties which I did not need while prepping for a race. Buyer beware!

Do NOT risk staying here!
Booking this stay completely ruined our vacation. First, the address they give of their facility is NOT where they are located. After we called and received the actual address we made our way to the actual location, where we were prohibited from entering by security. Security told us they could not allow us to check in due to the office being closed. Again we had to call the number to have someone help us be allowed in. Strangely, check in isn't until 3 and the office closes at 5:30 so there is only a 2.5 hr window to check in. Again, the information on Hotels.com is false, as it states check in time is 4pm. They gave us the key code to our room and told us to check in during the morning. During check in they told us that our pets would not be allowed to stay due to being over 20 lbs. Hotels.com did not provide this information and we called before bringing our pets to ensure we knew their pet policy. At no time were we told that the pets must be under 20 lbs. After calling the number to check on this, we were told that this unit doesn't allow us to have pets at all, and we were forced to move to a different location. The trouble with this though is that the other location was not good for the last night, and we were forced to move a fourth time. As for the actual accommodations: The first villa was clean but could have been cleaner (floor was not mopped in the bathroom, scuff marks on walls, etc). The two twin beds were terribly uncomfortable, like sleeping on a cardboard box. The larger beds weren't much better. The second accommodations were super nice and much cleaner, and the third accommodations even nicer than the previous two, though not quite as clean and modern as the second accommodations. I do have to say that the manager we dealt with, Christina, was excellent. Without her, this trip would have been much worse. I would highly recommend dealing with her personally if you are interested in staying in a Stoneman location. Without her though, I can't recommend staying here. The hassle brought about from going to 4 different locations, spending hours and hours on the phone trying to get our stay straightened out just made the trip so stressful that we couldn't enjoy ourselves. We tried to go to Disney one day, but instead spent 3 hours just sitting in the park on hold while customer service tried to help find a place for us to stay our last day. It was unclear through the process which party was responsible for the misinformation. Though Christina was great, I can't recommend staying here, no matter how good the price and deal may look. Don't risk it.
