An average stay really. I stayed in a suite room which was very spacious and clean. It was cleaned/serviced everyday to a good standard. Food at the hotel was quite basic and poor and the pool area isn’t the best, but in terms of value for money I think it’s adequate and fair for the price paid. The area around the hotel is good, within very short walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops. An ideal budget stay. The staff were very helpful with booking taxis etc.

Hotel El Espanol provides good service, condition,location, and amenities. Excellent value. No complaints. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location so central, we walked almost everywhere we wanted to go. Paseo de Montejp is a beautiful boulevard lined with gorgeous buildings and featuring all manner of food and entertainment. Highly recommend.

Good location in the middle of Paseo Montejo. We stayed for six days, we had to ask the front desk for hot water every day and even when they supposedly turn it on it came out warm to cold. We paid for three people and they only left two towels, we had to keep on asking for an extra towel.

We stayed in the master suite. For the price we are paying we expected the shower to work (it sprayed water up at the ceiling and made a huge mess), we expected a working toilet (it leaked water all over the floor creating a tripping hazard), we expected our jacuzzi to be clean (it was full of dirt and grime). We had to change rooms at 2 am to another room with a leaking jacuzzi. We won’t be back.

Hot water might be called warm rather than hot. Shower head was corroded with lime resulting in low and erratic sprays. The service from Mario, as well as others made up for any shortcomings. Central location was preferable for walking and numerous restaurants nearby. I would not hesitate to return.

Propery wad very clean but the desk service was slow. We were half an hour waiting to check in at 4;30 and the rooms were not ready. Room too basic, no fridge, glasses, blankets other than sheets. No drinking water unless you ask. Lighting in bathroom not sufficient.
