Great value stay in a pleasant dog friendly hotel. Ample off street free parking. Excellent breakfast. The staff with the exception of 1 waitress in the restaurant (after I think a busy shift) were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again if staying in the area.

Stayed over the bank holiday weekend. Great location for travelling around to York, Harrogate etc.. Very reasonably priced. Fantastic cooked breakfast, with fruit/cereal options. All staff were very friendly and happy to talk about anything. Ate one evening in the restaurant, food was delicious. Room was a little tired but it didn’t impact the stay and was still very comfortable. Overall a great stay 😁

Great place to stay, staff always polite and helpful. Rooms upgraded to good standard. Bathrooms still need a bit of TLC - hate shower curtains that stick you, could do with a few more shower gel toiletries and tiles with holes in following upgrades to towel rails, please fill with silicone as it makes bathroom look cheap and you’re doing a dis-service.

This was a pleasant surprise for us. A nice hotel with a fabulous restaurant attached. The food was excellent (although the portions were VERY large) and there were lots of multi-generational family groups there which shows the appeal of the place. Visited this hotel with my sister in law because we had booked tickets for a show nearby on arrival was met by a very lovely lady on reception.. offered to arrange a taxi for us to take us to the venue .. she even popped into the bar area to notify us when the taxi had arrived. She was still covering reception when we returned before 10pm, she was generally interested in the show we'd seen. She went on to advise us of breakfast times again and where we needed to be in the morning. Massive thank you to you.
