I did view the rear of the building from the car park area. Balconies looked lethal.

28 Jun 2026Wow! This was a genuine shock. Location was good for Headingley which was why I booked it. That's as far as I can remain positive. I'm not sure which was more dangerous to health - the exposed electrical wiring on the wall or the stench of fungus and bacteria coming from every surface. The sheets were clean but they couldn't mask the smell of decay from the mattress underneath which I didn't dare to inspect. The threadbare carpet was filthy and I can only say I was relieved to find that the squishy thing I trod on upon entering the room was only a discarded cola bottle sweet. Not a classic welcome. I didn't dare to take my shoes off. The whole place stinks of damp and aged dirty carpets which they tried to disguise with an army of air fresheners- a futile battle. Everything was decayed and sad. There was only a shared bathroom between multiple rooms, which was in desperately poor condition with broken taps, a mouldy shower and the cheapest furniture. It's hard to imagine how run down, unhealthy and unsafe this place is so please check the photos.

Bed comfy and bed linen clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Room badly needs a lick of paint and a good deep clean. Showers aren't being properly cleaned - only once over many years do I recall getting an acceptable clean shower. A little extra care and attention and this could be a really nice place to stay.

31 Aug 2024The room was reasonably priced and was near to my son and sadly that was the only plus point. Although there was a small fridge and kettle the only socket was an extension lead that was suspended when appliances were plugged in. The bathroom ceiling over the bath was water damaged and gaffa taped up and the grout was stained, and as far as I was concerned should not have guests in until repaired.

19 Sept 2023Firstly I’d like to say I wasn’t informed of a shared bathroom which was dirty by the way, we had 1 room with 3 single beds the beds were comfy and the white linen in bed were clean. There wasn’t a bed side cabinet between each bed so I really didn’t have anywhere to put my glasses and jewellery when took them off at night. There was a smell when you walked in,though the window was open,the window latch was broken so there was a chill coming in through it at night,the drawers that had tea/coffee things on was dirty behind it like it hadn’t been clean/ vacuumed for some time. The room was long but not wide enough for storage of our luggage, the tv on wall facing the door as you walked in was small so even if we did want to watch it the person in the end bed wouldn’t be able to see it. It needed to be a bigger screen and in middle of wall. The walls need a paint a neutral look would be much nicer.

But the room we were in was falling apart, holes in the walls, window didn't stay shut, light didn't work and the switch was showing wiring. The whole place feels past it's best.
