Always a pleasure.
It’s always a pleasure staying in the best Western in Newport, Oregon. It is one of the nicest hotels in that very dirty town, They don’t offer free breakfast like most best westerns, but they have free coffee downstairs and a restaurant that’s reasonably priced.

Enjoyed the view and the customer service. The restaurant food was excellent! The restaurant accessibility was a bit hard for my husband. I recommend chairs in the handicapped room to have arms for ease of getting up and down. We would definitely stay again!

The room is clean and standard. Feel that the hotels.com app needs to re-evaluate their pricing guarantee. Couldn’t get the directions to work, so looked up the hotel website itself to find our room advertised for $50 less. Manager would not make it right or move us to a more comparable room for the price paid. Toilet paper holder in room was broke so when you grabbed tp it fell to the floor and rolled out of reach.

Pleasant stay
We needed a place to unwind for a day. The property was nicely done, clean and relaxing. There was a tiny bit of dirt in one bathroom corner and the bed had a slight depression from other people sleeping there. Still a nice time and we’d stay again. Do wish that there was at least a small breakfast credit at the restaurant since there isn’t a free breakfast.

We were put across the hall from a room with a yelping dog for two days without being told. We didn't complain initially because a housekeeper on the morning of day 2 said they were checking out. Not so, we had yelping on night #2as well. When mentioned at checkout about the dog barking and we got an indifferent and not too concerned "I'm sorry". No offer of adjusting our bill or any consideration for our 2 days of being disturbed.

Other than the "off site" parking , up to the 6th floor then walk across the bridge to the building, it was TERRIFIC !!!!.....the room was extra large....spottless...smelled fresh....very comfortable, slept really well...the veiw of the ocean was wonderful.....the location of the property was very easy in and out, with lots in the area....everyone smiled....the Night Manager and PM desk clerk on 9/14 were wonderful in helping us the situation regarding the Refrigerator in our room...if passing through I would definitely stay again....

Really nice hotel on the beach
This was a last second call after booking and leaving a woefully dirty motel nearby. And thank goodness, what a beautiful hotel with a big clean comfortable room. Everything was really nice, and we slept super cozy. The view in the morning of the beach and lighthouse was spectacular. The parking lot situation is a little strange with a skybridge, but the elevator was super fast and efficient so we barely noticed it. Would definitely stay here again, it's worth it.
