I enjoyed my stay. The Hotel has good facilities but could do with smartening up. My room carpet was stained. The carpets in the general area’s appeared worn. The staff I met were very nice but it was obviously understaffed.

We had an en suite double room with kitchenette which was big and but very dated, booked room only so can’t comment on food. Room was clean and good value, use of pool and leisure facilities were included (unfortunately we didn’t have time to try it). Lovely garden, friendly helpful staff. Would stay again but probably upgrade to a sea view room next time. Great for short no frills stay.

This hotel is quite old and has supports on some of the outside walls but the room and facilities are really good. Our room was an older style but with that we had lots more space than in other hotel rooms with a large bathroom and a balcony with a sea view. Everything worked well. Staff were very helpful and showed us the spa and even came to the outdoor pool to check we found it ok and move a sun bed in to the shade for us. We chose to eat here even though the menu was very limited to 4/5 choices. I had lasagne and my husband pizza which were both cooked well and reasonably priced. Drinks were also reasonably priced with friendly service. The spa facilities were great-all clean and working well and plenty of other activities such as putting, croquet, tennis and board games. Only a 5/10 minute walk through the grounds to the beach. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wished we had booked more nights here. The hotel was the cheapest we stayed in during our 2 week trip but probably the best overall.

Classic old school hotel, presentable but decor from a different era. Very clean. Gardens are stunning. Good location for seafront - about a 5 min walk. Good facilities. Very limited food options, but that might be because we stayed in March. We were very grateful for the room upgrade that we received - they didn't have to do that.

Room was clean, plenty of off street parking as the hotel car park is always full. Only things I noticed was the water pressure was not great on cold taps, shower & toilet, often had to throw a bowl of water down the loo as flush was not enough. The water pressure in the ladies changing room in gym was much better than the shower in my room

Property is extremely dated and very little investment made. Lift doesn't work, some of the leisure facilities haven't worked for days. Fantastic location and access to the beach through the gardens. The outside pool was freezing when the outside temp was 20+, was defo not heated. The electric shower was disconnected with no warning, the sink was blocked that should of been picked up, the sofa lost a lot of pudding, the phone doesn't work, the fire alarm went off at midnight for 5 sec, windows are dirty. The property feels like it hasn't moved from the 1970s. If you want no frills with a leisure centre and easy access to the beach, this is an ideal property.

Great place for a holiday

We loved staying here, particularly the use of the swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Comfort and facilities are good, the staff friendly and helpful but it was rather low on water pressure for showering.
