Overpriced crash pad.
Perfectly decent stay if you’re on a night out for the local area. The welcome was nice but when it came to check out the guy was insanely rude. Couple that with the fact there was no hot water for a morning shower - it really ruined what was a pretty ok time.

You get what you pay for
Paid for a lace to spend halloween night, ended up spending more time there than I intended due to illness. The room was clean and the staff were nice, my only complaint was other lodgers. Every time someone opens their door, it made my door vibrate and I constantly felt like someone was trying to get in my room. I'm not sure there's anything they can do about that. I've stayed before and I'll likely stay again. You get what you pay for

Stay Here!
This was a great place to stay. The best value for money I could have imagined. WiFi is brilliant, room and en-suite super-clean, friendly check in and check out. Note that this is a pub with rooms, not a fancy-pants hotel but I tell you that this is a totally cool place to stay. It does have a night club playing great music until 1:00 am, and is very inclusive, so there is an LGBTQ+ presence. If that is not your thing, have a look at yourself, otherwise, go for it. It's ace, cheap, handy, friendly and basically really great.

Got locked out and slept in van for the night.
Well, first impressions were interesting. I knew it would be loud but first sight was a frank Gallagher lookalike meeting on the barmaid as I tried to find the reception amongst others. Rough doesn't quite cut it. Room basic but worn and noise from downstairs very audible through thin walls. The bit I cannot forgive was the fact that after going out for food and a beer I arrived back at the pub to find the 24/7 access door had a broken key inside of the lock. I couldn't get in to the pub at all. Tried ringing the pub. No answer. No emergency line or anything. I ended up having to sleep rough in the back of my sprinter van in what was a scary area of the ncp car park around the corner from the pub. Drug dealers, shady characters all leering into my van as I slept cold and uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the fact I had my van keys I would have been sleeping rough on the streets. Awful place. Disgusted at the lack of communication for such emergencies.
