First time we’ve stayed at this hotel. Room was spotless, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was amazing with plenty choices and value for money. Ideal location for the OVO Hydro which was only a 10 minute walk away. Definitely stay there again.

The room was clean comfortable and quiet when the window was shut & plenty of free on-site parking available. Staff were helpful when required, the only downside, the food in the restaurant was poor and overpriced. You expect hotel restaurants to be more expensive but the food should at least be a decent standard. My son's chicken fillets were dry and tough to the point of being almost inedible and the fish I had was either off or under cooked badly.

A very comfortable and enjoyable short stay at The Village Hotel - and very handy for the Ovo Hydro where we saw 'Two Doors Down'. Bus stops were nearby - both Hop On/Off type and ordinary ones - so was easy to get around Glasgow. When we needed a taxi booking, the reception staff were happy to do so - and the taxis arrived promptly. The hotel had nice 'industrial style' contemporary decor, was well maintained and the rooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The restaurant food was nice enough - burgers, steaks, etc - and breakfasts were delicious. There were plenty of tables in the restaurant, so never felt squeezed in. All in all, for our first visit to Glasgow, we had a great time and staying at this hotel only enhanced our visit. Thanks!
