Top notch hostel
We stayed after our visit to the Causeway. It was lovely. Clean, welcoming, unpretentious room, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value.

Grungiest place we have ever stayed. The showers were so bad we didnt want to touch anything. The lower bunk bed is on the floor. Behind the double bed along the baseboards was mold and yuck. You get what you pay for. Location Location Location

2/10 Poor

Located on a busy road. We were not able to do our own laundry. The laundry was returned damp to still very wet which made travelling on in Ireland very uncomfortable. Not recommend…

Quite at Home!
The staff (Rober and Adam) could not have been more amiable and helpful and sitting around a kitchen table for breakfast made me feel quite at home. The accommodations are adequate and clean, although the bare minimum and in need of some upkeep. Great location and surroundings.

Rundown, but convenient location
The staff at Finn McCool's was really friendly and helpful. However they were occupying the main comfy couches on the property so they were not available for guests. I used the kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, and a bedroom and everything functioned adequately. The condition of the property is however very rundown, so do not expect a luxurious experience. The location is VERY convenient for Giant's Causeway and close to many other sightseeing locations.

I loved the close proximity to the Giant's Causeway and the amazing views out the sunroom. As hostels go it was pretty good. Front desk was manned by a very friendly young woman who gave me all the information I needed. Breakfast was basic boiled eggs, toast, cereal, etc. Nothing special but it was filling.

Good Location
If you expect a fancy room with many amenities, or if you require squeaky clean spaces and a bountiful breakfast selection, this isn't the place for you. We knew this would be a relatively minimalist hostel, so we were prepared for it. The room was fine: safe and clean enough. The space itself was also adequate: room to cook your own meals, should you wish to; plenty of space to look out and watch the sunset. We didn't avail ourselves of the showers (only stayed one night; don't judge!), but the other bathroom seemed perfectly fine. The wifi worked fine throughout. The central draw of this hostel is that it is literally a 10 minute walk to the Causeway visitors' center, and about as close as you can possibly get to the site. As a result, it's not near the town of Bushmills, so what you gain in closeness to the Causeway, you lose in closeness to the restaurants etc. of the town. Overall, I would stay here again: the price was right, the staff was friendly, and the location was great.

When we arrived we were charged a 2£ credit card charge. we arrived at the evening after a storm and the room had no electricity for the entire night and into late morning and there were no hot showers. towels in the guest house are extra charged. breakfast was very dull and the entire place is filled with passive aggressive signs that ask that you always clean after yourself and wash your own breakfast dishes. on the plus side the location is amazing. giant's causeway visitor center is a short walking distance and if you arrive by foot the entrance to the causeway is free.
