Overall a pleasant stay and staff member was polite. I was unable to locate the air conditioner remote from the main bedroom and the second bedroom did not have air conditioning. The ceiling light in the main bedroom wasn’t working. Great location though.

We booked a 3-bed apartment last minute, during peak season, for an excellent price. We love how close this apartment is to South Bank and the CBD. Parking and Wifi were included in the price which is a bonus. The apartment was adequate for our family of four. However, it sleeps six but was only really designed for 4 people - 4 dining chairs, 4 spaces on the couch etc. There was very little by the way of cooking equipment, which was fine by us as we ate out most of the time. We faced the train line, but it was pretty quiet with the door closed. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were quite hot and only have sliding doors, no windows that can be left open at night. We missed not having a pool, but enjoyed the rooftop. Parking spaces are tight, but there were plenty and we had no problem parking. There are a number of homeless people around and there was a fight in the street one night, which scared our kids, but were not an issue otherwise. An ideal spot for a night or two, but for longer stays, especially in summer, we would stay elsewhere.

Disappointing standard
One of the only hotels in Brisbane offering complimentary car park was about the only thing that redeemed our stay sadly. Ultimately I guess the price paid reflects the carpark fee charged at other hotels. City View rooms are not mentioned on this site, and there’s an additional charge. The train line is running past your window, so even with closed doors and air con on and ear plugs in, you’ll hear it. The apartments need better maintaining - basic things like loose shower heads, clumps of hair in shower drain from previous guests, should not be part of a 4 star rated property. Besides all that, handy location to South Bank, Performing Arts venues and stroll across bridge to city.
