This hotel have not used Expedia in years and only by coincidence was there a room available trod us otherwise we’d have been troubled . I then couldn’t contact Expedia . Despite having the Expedia booking to show this hotel they refused it because 1- the no record of it and 2- “we don’t use Expedia !”

Triton Hotel in Collioure, France.
The hotel is a short walk from the train station. We had 4 suitcases, 2 that were very heavy and there were no elevators in the hotel. There were many stairs to climb with our luggage. We had a room overlooking the town and the bay-it was absolutely beautiful! We had a functional, clean room; comfortable bed, beautiful view and were in close proximity to the shops, restaurants and castle. The staff were courteous and helpful. I would stay there again, but would pack much lighter!

Simple hotel in a great location
The hotel is in a great location along the beach and a quick walk to the city center. The room was clean. Very simple with basic amenities. Our window was along the main road and it was loud in the morning, also there is no curtain to block out the sun/day light which was a little frustrating, but otherwise all in all it was a good experience!

Very French. Rude
Incredible location with amazing views, lady on reception was friendly when we arrived, owner was not. Breakfast was limited or almost non existent if you were late as no replenishment of a very basic selection. If you like bread and water, great. Food ran out very quickly and no milk for tea, then nothing topped up. No tea or coffee making in the room, no glasses in the room either. Great location and views. No light in the shower or a proper door or even a holder for the shower head. Bit odd having to hold the shower over your head whilst pouring shower jel. Lacks pillows of a decent standard. One each and too basic and thin. Odd place with a mix of friendly and unfriendly, very French, lacking in warmth and basic human kindness. Great location and views.

Beautiful view
We enjoyed our stay here. The most incredible view over looking the sea , beach and castle. The rooms are not huge but bed was comfortable. No hairdryer in this hotel but not a big deal. Parking was not so easy however the view makes up for it.. I would stay again and recommend.

Location, not luxury
The Triton has the best location in Collioure. The view from the room and small balcony was spectacular. The weather was perfect for our stay so this was a real benefit. The Triton is away from the busiest tourist area so quieter although a restaurant has been opened below the hotel balconies which is a bit noisy and detracts from the enjoyment at times. The actual room was very small and basic with an awful noisy cheap plastic 'sliding' door to the bathroom. We also found the list of rules in the room a bit 'old fashioned boarding house' . The staff were lovely, but the directions to the free parking took up most of their time. We would still come again and tell our friends

Great town; barely acceptable hotel.
Worst shower ever. It's a two-foot deep alcove with NO splash covering over the broad entrance; it has only a hand shower, with no wall fixture to stick it on, so you simply use it and then replace it over the hot and cold faucets. Your choice is to be extremely careful and get the bathroom floor only moderately wet or use it freely and flood the floor -- which has no drain. We had a seaside view room on the first of the two-floors, and the view was really quite impressive. We had a narrow balcony, which was fundamentally functional. It is a smallish room; the bed is moderately comfortable but with no extra floor space to speak of. The staff was sort of basically helpful (normally, but not always, including a functional amount of English), but when I came to check out I was told that I had to pay the full amount for the two day stay, and it took several minutes to convince the person behind the counter that I had in fact prepaid. It was impossible to tell if this is a standard technique to see it they can get more money, or a lack of certain computer system ability. The hotel has NO parking area; you have to park moderately nearby and pay about 15 euros per day, or park (purportedly; I did not look into this) a bit further away for free. Breakfast is available for an extra payment; we did not try it. Collioure itself is a fabulously beautiful town, and the hotel is perfectly positioned on the small bay in the central area. We tried a number of eateries, most were adequate.

Okay for short weekend or one or two nights.
The Triton Hotel was fairly good value for what it cost but we did not enjoy our stay. Knowing French hotels we booked the largest room which was called a 'triple' room but we still found very small. The plus was a great view over the bay. The negatives were that the air conditioning struggled on a hot day, not an option to open the windows (whiched helped to cool) as the traffic noise, and from restaurant below day and night was intolerable when windows open. Fortunately double glazing reduced the noise but didn't help the heat. The bathroom and shower were pokey and really do require modernisation. Room service was good, breakfast at €8 was okay, we found better and less costly breakfast options at restaurants nearby. I guess for a short weekend this hotel is okay, great location.

Waterfront hotel in beautiful location
Hotel Triton is on the water in Coullioure, France, and we booked a room with a view of the bay--well worth any extra expense. No lift, so be prepared to lug your stuff up 2 flights of stairs minimum. Also, parking is free nearby, but not on the property. When you check in ask about where to park. We left one of us in the car driving around while the other checked in because there is absolutely NOWHERE to park around this hotel, other than the paid lot across from it which was of course totally full. Once inside, the room with the view was lovely. A bit small, but comparable to all the other hotels we stayed in while in France.
