6/10 Okay

Had family room for 4night (room only) staff was great anything you needed. Room was clean but bathroom was terrible the smell, dirty toilet brush left floor was dirty shower door would open/shut properly wouldn’t stay on runner. Above the bed was sticky and full of dust. Main toilet in the reception was dirty as well.

Staff nice. Room small and dated. Meals not available unless pre booked. No hot water in first room. Moved to second room but tap broken so unable to shower.

Surprisingly lovely hotel

We only intended to use this hotel as a base for the Gin Festival and booked two nights. We were pleasantly surprised at the hotel. Staff were very friendly, rooms clean and plenty of coffee/teas in your room. Not really a down side, but be aware that there are no card machines and you can't add drinks onto your room, so take cash if you want to stay in for the night. No hairdryer in the room but you can get one from reception if you pay a deposit. I only needed it for ten mins so they let me quickly nip and use it. As I say, it's not a down point but I would have preferred to know before I go so hopefully this'll help others. It's what we would describe as a typical coach trip hotel. Which if what you want is friendly staff, customers and cabaret on top every evening then this would be the hotel for you. We would definitely stay again.

The Boston rip-off Hotel

I booked a Premier room with sea view. About 6 weeks ago. They phoned me on the day of my stay saying that Expedia had made a mistake and they had to relocate my stay to a different hotel with a bog standerd room with a lovely room (not) facing the car park but theres only one thing i didn't book threw Expedia ..they ripped us off ...

Fantastic cabaret nights . Lovely seafront room . The breakfast wasn’t good food was cold & not cooked proper Was very disappointed with it . Service of it was poor to had to keep getting up & asking them to take our orders , tea & coffee Arrived after we had finished .

Free parking but charged, lack of toiletries.

Overall good. Free parking was included on our booking but when arrived asked to pay £10 per night (2 nights) did get it refunded eventually but no apology! Room okay but only 2 small tablets of soap and No other toiletries. 2nd morning shower freezing cold and need to mountaineer to get into bath too. Breakfast good with prompt service. Entertainment on 2nd evening Freddie Mercury tribute Dean Richardson who was brilliant! Shame about lack of toiletries and attitude about parking as otherwise very good.

6/10 Okay

The reception and bar staff exerlent and helpfull and the evening entertainment was good bar prices not bad but limited choice of draft beers breakfast limited choice ie no tomatoes I would not pay the extra for breakfast

Highly recommended

Great hotel to stay staff are very friendly and helpful would highly recommend this hotel
Margaret, 2-night trip

2/10 Terrible

This hotel needs to be dragged into the 21 St century. I appreciate they have to cope with the building but that doesn’t stop it being clean and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also what you would expect. The hotel is a cabaret hotel so we were kept up until one o’clock in the morning so be warned.

John & Jackie

Good service and nice breakfast. Bar prices reasonable. Entertainment OK. Will be back again next year.
John, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Adequate but met needs

Tired rooms - curtains didnt match the window width, ‘toiletries’ were a small bar of soap. Rubber plug for bath wig no chain so had to use a tea spoon to prise it out! Breakfast was adequate but slow service with out hot order not being put into the chef. Staff friendly and helpful especially the young lady in charge of the dining room at breakfast who rapidly resolved our hot food delay once it was identified.
Simon, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Good little hotel.

Staff were great very friendly. Only thing that let the stay down was the mattresses. They were so poor and I was unable to get a good night's sleep.
