We loved our stay here, all staff were really friendly and helpful, despite being down on staff numbers due to illness. We enjoyed our meal and great pints in the bar too. The room was great for the amount we paid, the only thing we could think of that could be better was the shower, it wasn’t very powerful, but to be honest we would still give five stars as we thought it was a lovely stay

Absolutely lovely staff and so central, it was a dreamy place to stay. The bed was comfortable, no issue with noise despite being on the main square and the decorations were very cute. The only minor issues we had were the fan was really loud in the bathroom and the toilet seat felt like it was coming loose on one side so it would drop one way which was a bit of a shock in the middle of the night! My other half went for breakfast one morning we were there and said the staff were so helpful and the food was great. Really lovely place, can highly recommend to anyone enjoying the sites of Masham

Room was clean and tidy, shower was fantastic. Dinner was not good, two attempts at serving sirloin steak, both steaks impossible to cut through the sinew. Bill was cancelled. Breakfast was good. Excellent village square location.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised just how nice the hotel was, the staff were really nice and the room very comfortable and cleaned daily, it's an old building so it's not like a modern hotel but adds to the character with oak beams, the only downside was no lift so as we were on the top floor it was a bit of a haul with the suitcases but the view of the market square was quaint. However the breakfast is amazing, choice of cerials, juices, milks, tea, coffee, pastries, muffins, breads butters, jams and a toaster plus an extensive cooked breakfast menu or they will cook you any combination The village of Masham is small but well situated to travel around Yorkshire. We loved every day and visited Harrogate one day which has a lovely park

Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though.

We’ve stayed at the King’s Head over 20 years or so, as such we’ve seen the hotel in different guises. The room itself is ok, clean on the face but the rooms need an overhaul. I know it’s a country pub, rustic etc but should we have spiders, cobwebs, and dust? Given the amount of money these rooms demand it’s simply not good enough, certainly in comparison. The hotel has hosted many a happy memory but I don’t think we’ll return.
