So, this place was in a great location right by the train station and had easy access to tons of restaurants/sightseeing. Sadly, that’s where the good news ends. I’m not sure how there are so many strong reviews honestly.
Yes, they are upfront about no AC but that doesn’t account for a crappy desk fan that barely works. My fan didn’t oscillate and it kept clicking. The itchy bedsheets smelled like sweat and cigarettes and the bathroom smelled worse. Seriously - it smelled like swamp ass. It knocked me in the face the second I walked in.
When I checked in, the front desk was on the phone. No biggie but usually I get some acknowledgment. No handwave, no finger up to signify anything - just 8 mins of me standing there. Once she hung up, she still didn’t say hi - just a “checking in?” The service was not there, the room smelled bad, and I wouldn’t stay here again.
