We booked through Expedia for a business trip specifically to the IPM trade show. This trade show was cancelled due to COVID. This was not our fault nor our choice. We tried to change our dates several times & your representatives initially replied but never returned with an answer. We found your service unprofessional. The root of many terrible customer experiences is a company that is happy to collect money from a transaction but not to accept responsibility when things go wrong. Your reluctance to respond & sticking rigidly to policies, even when they make no sense in a given context, is a classic customer service failure.
COVID has caused such grief worldwide, I find larger businesses like yourselves should be finding solutions for clients to make the experience pleasing & encouraging us to return to your platform. Instead, we were treated poorly & we have lost all of our money on the accommodation for this trip.
