Old quaint buildings; located outside of the township, with lovely big spaces; a playground for children, plus an outdoor swimming pool; very country and sort of cowboy but without the horses. Enjoyed our stay here.

On there website was stated a heated outdoor pool,only reason i booked there,no heated pool false advertising, rooms needed a good clean,sp bath hadn't been cleaned properly, not very helpful

New bathroom and kitchen. Kitchen is very well equipped and would be excellent for extended stay.
Large spa bath with natural mineral water - fantastic!

The property has potential, is not too far from Lake or other things to do.Has lots of space that can be improved. Just seems a bit neglected, but the room did what we needed,we spent a weekend and it was ok.

Pros: spa bath was nice. Room was warm with heat pump and fan heater on when we arrived. and looked clean and tidy at first glance , reception friendly. Nice Reno in room too. Price was right.
Cons: outside very rundown giving a bad first impression. 1 hair in shower and soaps scum needed a deep clean. No extra blankets, mezzanine bedroom was warm with heat pump but back room was cold. fan heater provided but didn’t want to leave that on all night, an extra thick blanket for downstairs would be good. Some glasses were dirty.

Good location although parts need some maintenance
Good location close to thermal pools and Huka Falls walk.
Parts of chalet had been remodelled and were in good condition, other parts were dated and need repairing. No dishes suitable for cooking in the microwave (no stove provided), mould in shower, only one bed side table and the base of that was broken! They did provide Tesla chargers though! and the cleaner was helpful and engaging.

The place is fairly run down, but I understand new owners have just taken over. The reason we booked here is because it is pet friendly. A lot of motels in Taupo are not.
We were only there to sleep, so on the whole the experience was not too bad.
The place does some potential to be tidied up.

It was in a state of disrepair dirty found someones hairn my bed.
It isn't advertised honestly as the photos are not current or relevant to its current condition. Sofa was absolutely filthy, bedroom door filthy., stairwell filthy drawers dirty . Swimming pool unavailable. My grandaughter said that it had a bad vibe.
The property was just rundown and that includes gardens etc... outside of buildings were just like some one had been living there for 15 years ++ and not done any maintenance. What a rip off.

The cabin was really cute and cozy. Staff were amazing and filled me request to have a banner up on arrival. The toilet was dirty and had poo under the seat and the floor leading to the toilet is a tripping hazard as we both tripped and fell twice.
