The rooms were comfortable, mattresses were firm - great nights sleep. The ocean waves were wonderful. The Surf Cafe has the best breakfast. Staff is personalable, warm and happy!

Quick trip to the beach area. Great check in experience, parking lot is limited due to construction, but is available. Older hotel but cozy, safe and staff is very friendly.

Good if looking for a value. Desk staff courteous. Parking easy. Pool is small. (Capacity 15). Restaurant/bar is only open til 8pm. Room was spacious but toilet would run unless handle is wiggled. We left do not disturb on door by accident and asked to have room serviced around 4pm but said the cleaning staff had left.

I’ve stayed at a few properties on Virginia Beach over the years and none I’d go back to. However, The Capes is on my list of hotels I’d rebook. The rooms were clean; the property was clean. The indoor pool was warm and seemed pretty clean. They offer an on-site restaurant. I did not try this time around so I can’t speak to the food there. They also offer ample parking that is easily accessible. I guess if I were to offer one thing I’d like to see, it’d be a soap rack in the shower or towel rack on wall by the sink, nit picky but I figured I’d throw it out there. The staff was very friendly as well. Great stay!
