Stay away
Worst hotel in Rio. I stay in hotels 13/14 days of the month. Worst experience ever.
The regular hotel I stay in Rio was booked like many this week due to the Taylor swift concert
Big mistake staying at this. The bread from the breakfast you could break a window with. The steak from the lunch burnt and black and waiters tried to tell me I had to eat. Needed to call a second waiter that was shocked and asked the kitchen to make another one.
Room cleaning doesn’t exist. They say it will be done but never got done. Front reception person was nice and in shock it wasn’t done.
So stay away horrible service horrible conditions

Beware of theft in this hotel! Staff stole money and clothes (200 dollars in cash and expensive clothes worth another 300 dollars aprox). I booked this hotel for my parents, they stayed at this hotel for one week. As I said, some money was stolen which was stored in their luggage. And, some of my mom's expensive clothing were taken too, which means staff thoroughly went through their luggage. Unfortunately they didn't notice until they arrived to their next destination in Argentina and unpacked their luggage. Avoid staying in this hotel!

Amazing staff and modern rooms
I recently travelled to Rio together with my three children (two teens and an eight year old) and stayed here for a week. We had adjoining, family-style rooms that were very comfortable and well appointed. Our experience was exceptional and started before we even arrived. I chose this property because it appeared to be in a safe neighbourhood, located right across from Olympic Park, and was great value for money. One of the kids needed access to a rowing training facility, and staff at the hotel went out of the way to find both a nearby gym that has rowing machines, and also arranged for her to train at the same rowing club that hosted the Olympic rowing events. All of this was arranged pre-arrival via email by one of the hotel's staff. We had an amazing check-in experience, and front desk staff again went out of their way to help us book a guide and tickets to a soccer game at Maracana Stadium (an amazing experience). On our last day, the hotel allowed us a late check-out at no additional charge. The rooftop pool is absolutely stunning, and they have a great gym as well.
Notes - be sure to have birth certificates, notarized consent letters and any other documentation you may need if you're traveling with children. The hotel is about 12 km from the closest metro station so be prepared to use the rapid bus system, taxis or Uber to get around. And the hotel's restaurant is a bit hit and miss.

Average
When booked my a superior king room I wa s surprised to have 2 single beds. The room has not coffee making facilities and drinks can not be taken from the restarting area. Overall the hotel was very pleasant but not sure I would stay there again. Unhelpful staff doesn't really sell the benefits of staying there either.
