I really enjoyed my stay here! The location is absolutely perfect, and the breakfast was quite good. My room was very small, but considering the price, it exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful—just ask, and they’ll go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable (:

Central Hotel
On one of the main busy street in Amsterdam, with lots of people passing by all day and night. Can be very noisy if you have street facing room. Very friendly staff, well heated accommodations especially bedroom.

This is a very clean budget hotel with the most friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good beds, sheets & pillows. Blow dryers available when you ask. Updates done in rooms with new bathrooms. Our room was quiet, (top floor at the back). Great location to restaurants and walkable from Amsterdam Central. Very tiny elevator and you need to be able to do stairs ( breakfast downstairs). The real gem of this old hotel besides location is STAFF! Plus they clean your room daily. We stayed in October so did not need air conditioning and the window opened, so lots of fresh air.

It is close to Amsterdam Centraal Station and there are many restaurants nearby. People hang around on the street until like 4 AM and make a lot of noise

The property is in a very central position and close to railway station etc. Staff were wonderful. Other guests not so but not the hotel's fault whose security was excellent. Only real complaint is the lighting. It's an old, dark building but would have appreciated the lamps having higher wattage so that reading was possible.

Great location, clean but unfortunately we were onthe street side for 3 nights. Was load but didn't really bother us (earplugs for us) but the Friday the street noise lasted past the usual midnight until 4:30pm. So if they give you a room at the front request a change unless you are one of the ones partying lat into the evening.

6/10 Good

Over the two days we stayed at the hotel we got used to the idea that we had to climb a ladder to get into our room. While my wife and I are healthy enough to accommodate such a entrance into the room, I'm sure there are numbers of people who would not be able to accommodate this. The location is extremely handy, and the hotel does provide a breakfast with a stay. Alternatives for breakfast are but a few steps from the door. Probably not a recommended stay for somebody over 55.

Functional room for what was needed. Comfy bed. En suite shower. And close to the train station and multitude of shops, restuarants and bars. Staff were brilliant, polite and informative. Only negative the stairs between floors are wooden so a little noisy may benefit from a small smidge of carpet.
