Nice resort but staff is all over the place. Our room keys never worked, we could never get a restaurant reservation for dinner, the transportation service is not reliable but you have to take it if your room is by the beach & sneaky employees were trying to take advantage and charge us things in cash in order to pocket the money. Very shady.

The Level quality of service was very good. Appreciated access to private pools & dining. Overall the food quality was medium. The fresh fruit was really good but other meals, ala carte & buffet, while providing choice could have been better. Perfect location for grandkids to play safely. Only other concern was the very loud music playing at the main centre from around 9:30-midnight. Made sleep almost impossible until it ended as our villa in block 47 was close to the event. Had read other reviews commenting on the same issue.

hard to enjoy
Everything was fine except for the people who work at the buffet with a very bad attitude, very rude, speaking badly of my family because we changed tables, they thought we didn't speak Spanish but we understood everything. The bed in the room had only one sheet and the mattress was very very hard, it was very difficult to rest and sleep with the bed so hard, everything else was fine.

A very nice place, we enjoyed our stay. One complaint is that the surrounding of our hotel is covered with coconut trees, don’t give me wrong, I love coconut trees but we have not been offered to drink coconut water hehehe. Everyone was very polite and respectful, very professional. Thank you.

The first room I was given had broken desk drawers and broken door to mini bar which was empty. Upgraded to new room for a few of $165.00 dollars; in that room the air conditioner never got cooler than 26.5 degrees Celsius. Staff attempted 5 times to fix and were unable. The food selection was mediocre. I would not recommend this resort to anyone.

Very terrible stay! Took 3 hour to check in up charged for the room we booked in the first place. Room was dirty ants and spiders everywhere. Upcharged to stay on the level side due to the supposed convenience and location which was a LIE! and as a pregnant women walking around the resort this was not only a health concern but wasn’t what I paid 1200 for! Couldn’t get clean towel the entire stay nor my butler during my stay at which was we paid for. Room was disgusting and so was the resort. Called several times and was hung up on! Very disappointed and requesting refund ASAP!

It was a rough start since the room we got was not clean . The mini bar had left over food from previous guest. The sink was clogged and the room had a mildew odor. But they accommodated us to a new room the next day and it was much better. The resort was pretty and beach was beautiful. The pool was nice as well. Although the jacuzzi was not hot. The drinks were okay. I suggest the coconut Margaritas . The buffet food was good. The restaurant food was just okay. What i didn’t like was that certain staff members were rude when asked for drinks or for your order. Overall the resort was relaxing and beautiful.

I was very disappointed with our stay. I was double charged when payment was initially due on property and I have to wait 15-20 days for a refund. We had to change rooms twice because of bathroom issues and then we had extensive ants all over the room and encountered some other insects. Rooms are not modern looking. Room service was mediocre and took forever to deliver meals and they were also limited. The staff barely cleaned our room or provided towels unless you requested it. The pool and restaurants were not in close proximity to the room and the transportation trolleys were always full. Certain areas of the pool were dirty. There was no courtesy service at pool or beach as I have seen at other hotels. The drinks served were not premium and if you wanted specific ones you had to pay extra which is ridiculous being that it’s all inclusive and that was not stated before. The Japanese restaurant was also not included in the list of restaurants to dine at. You had to pay extra for that as well. The food at buffet was often cold. The only saving grace we had was our conceirge representative Kilvania Valerio. She was wonderful and tried to rectify any problem we encountered and took care of our restaurant reservations. I was grateful for her service. The waterpark was good and it entertained the kids which I was happy about but unfortunately it was the only good thing about our stay. This was an expensive vacation and it didn’t meet my expectations.

The beach and swimming pools at this property were beautiful and well maintained. We paid for The Level, but didn't really see any benefit to it. The property was huge - largest resort we'd ever been to. We really appreciated the golf cart & "trains" that transported us around the property. The food was average at best. The drinks were delicious. The hibachi restaurant service and food was AWESOME. We wouldn't come here again, but for an unseasoned traveler this is a nice starter resort.

We enjoyed our stay at Meliá Caribe. Our experience was great with the help of our concierge: Kilvania Valerio and Isamar Pulinario who made our stay amazing! The staff are behind helpful and super friendly! The pools and beach are also super clean. They host events in the main lobby until 12 am allowing guest to mingle and connect with ours.

I stayed at Meliá Caribe Beach. Check in was okay, after a long flight and drive it took about 30 minutes to check in and get to my room. Throughout my stay, I was not pleased with room service at all, it took about 2hrs or longer to finally get my order and by the time my food arrived it was very cold. I requested for house keeping service once and when I left the room and came back later that day I still didn’t receive any house keeping service. The resort doesn’t allow certain transportation on property to do drop offs/pick ups but when you ask a bellman to take you to the main gate they refuse or just ignore you. I had an excursion booked one morning and requested for the bellman to take me to the main entrance since they don’t allow all transportations on the property and I never got attended to; it was so frustrating that I decided to just walk and it was about a 10-15 minute walk. The service was really poor.
