My family - two adults, two teens - loved everything about this hotel. The location was fabulous, we walked everywhere but had easy access to the underground trains - especially good as we were on the line that took us directly from the airport within 30 minutes. Great service at breakfast, very helpful reception staff. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would definitely stay again. Bathroom was a little small with no bath, but that would be my only complaint.

Outstanding hotel; perfectly located.
Staff were amazingly responsive, friendly and informative. Of special note were the concierge and the head bartender both of which made our time in Hamburg exceptional. The hotel is well located for sightseeing, shopping, dining, walking, touring and use of public transit. I would highly recommend selecting this hotel for a stay in Hamburg.

It was great staying in Renaissance Hamburg hotel. Hotel is at city center, so hotel has good accessibility to everywhere by walking. Breakfast and service are also good, but room is little bit small. But it was not the problem. In general, I was satisfied with this hotel.

Good central hotel with very nice and helpful staf
Truely a nice stay with our friends. Very central and nice staff. One of our friends is in a wheelchair but Maggie made it work. Breakfast buffet is the "usual" delicious Mariott standard and the bar has a good selection of everything though a nice "black" german beer would be appreciated :-)

Best hotel in Hamburg, have stayed many times before, this time in a room with a connecting door to the adjacent room. Although the connecting door was closed (and locked of course) you could hear everything going on in adjacent room occupied by a family with small children. We were out Friday evening and wanted to sleep late Saturday morning, but we were woken up by the children; no fault of theirs or their parents. It is want it is, and it is an easy fix: next time we will ask to have a room that does not have a connecting door to the next room. Everyone are so nice and I am sure that had we complained they worked have changed the room for us. We are coming back for sure..!!

No functioning air conditioning so it was 40 degrees in the room. Couldn’t open the window because there was exhaust from cars 50cm from the window. Sink wasn’t working properly. We asked the receptionist for a solution 4-5 times the whole weekend but no help or solution. We god a free water as compensation!!

Really nice hotel with fantastic location
Really nice and modern hotel, in a good condition. The location is fantastic - right in the center of Hamburg most attractive spot. Price for breakfast is quite expensive €35, but worth the money. I have only positive feedback, and can recommend the hotel. Worth the money, and nice and helpful staff. The bar in the reception area is also really good. The staff at the bar was not the fastest, and forget your order once in a while. I tried this two times meanwhile staying at the hotel

We liked the hotel and location. Breakfast was very good. However, we had a bad experience saturday night where the hotel held an event in the hall, which we weren’t informed about. We lived at the 1st floor, and the music and noise were very loud that even ear plugs couldn’t help. We called the reception during the night, and they told us that the music would stop before midnight. That did not happened. We called the reception again, and they had a hard time even speaking to us over the phone because of the noise and music. This time they said that the music would go on at least another hour. We complained about all of this the next day at check-out. We were not properly informed, we experienced bad communication and were not offered another room or a refund.
