Gone downhill....Will not return
We typically stay at the YVE once yearly prior to a cruise- this year will be our last. Im not sure if the staff elevators were down- but the elevators to begin with are very tiny, and the entire time were full of staff with large cleaning bins etc. We waited over 20 mins to just get an elevator- and even still had to take several trips as the luggage wouldn't fit. The restaurant here is still awful- husband was served spoiled steak and my chicken was so tough I didn't bother to even eat it. The Last straw- we paid extra money to check in early (even though our room was ready and they could have just checked us in for free)- i did this so that the toddler could get put down for nap on the pull out couch. There was no bedding for the couch anywhere in the room- I had to call down to the front three seperate times to get someone to come up to make the bed (I was more than happy to make it- just needed to get the sheets etc). Overall just not worth the money- we will stay down the street at the Marriot next time.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. The floors in the hallway were filthy and the bathroom towels were questionable on whether they had been washed. The room was fine for one night and it was a great location to get to the cruise port.

Elevator service was the worst. At the date that I was checking out, the elevators were full of people. I Had to wait for 40 minutes. Every elevator were full of people. Later I could not wait no more. I had to carry my travelling cases down 14th floor to checkout.

Awful hotel
Our room was terrible. There was a resort fee charge for coffee and fitness but our room had no coffee machine, the fitness centre was a joke , our room view was into a wall and the a/c system was noisy and poor. This hotel is simply “a dump”. Avoid it.

Would not book again
There was no signal so did not have tv access through the whole stay. No available toiletries such as tissues, cups, etc. in the bathroom. Carpet and chair had big stains. The shower has no curtain or any type of blockage to prevent water going on the bathroom floor. Could not have a comfortable shower because of this. The floor became extremely slippery and easy to slip and fall.

They don’t honor reservations
Careful folks, if you book this hotel! They oversell and don’t honor reservations - even prepaid ones! I arrived and was told they were booked up and even though I had a reservation they weren’t going to honor it. So don’t trust them and have a backup plan because they won’t help you.

This hotel was just OK. The elevators broke several times, although they extended check out for that reason. Our room had only one bath towel and one washcloth - it was a 2-person room clearly set up for one - and it was FREEZING even with the a/c set to 80. On the positive side, very easy and convenient to the cruise port.
