13 Sept 2026Overrated and overpriced. Dated hotel with poor customer service. Staff is grumpy and slow. Breakfast not included, you payed $150 for 2 people and food is not great. SPA was good and honestly the only nice customer service in the hotel, but also not included, $70 each person to use sauna and cold plunge. Rooms are average for a 5star hotel, bathroom very basic with a tiny shower. I stay in a room looking over the water. Restaurant downstairs with good dinner food.

28 Feb 20265 star accommodations, service, and location. Recommend taking advantage of the spa. Book a massage for the morning, tour about during the day and come back for a sauna, steam, and the hydropool in the evening - for one price. The Vasa museum and a 75 minute boat tour are musts. Superior room w harbor view was worthwhile too.

16 Feb 2026This was a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful and clean, the bed was wow. Since it was winter, we didn't do much but enjoy the stay. The room service was amazing and the personnel, very kind and inviting. Now, that bathroom is definitely not for short people because stepping out from the tab, it was high and the doors to the WC are something of an experience if you stay in the same room with someone like a friend or sibling.
Either way, it was a beautiful stay.

15 Feb 2026This hotel has a great location for touring Stockholm. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was hot and stuffy, though, and because the heat is centrally regulated we had no way to adjust the temperature. The windows do open so that was helpful. The breakfast buffet was incredible with a huge selection of everything you might want. Waitstaff was very helpful and friendly as were the housekeeping staff that we encountered. All in all a good experience.

24 Sept 2025Beautiful hotel in the heart of Stockholm. The hotel is situated on the waterfront with spectacular views. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Good choice of dining options. Staff were friendly and helpful with ready smiles all round. Service was impeccable. I don’t have enough good things to say about the hotel.

28 Jul 2026I gave this same comments directly to the Grand Hotel when they also asked for feedback:
1) despite the high nightly rates, the cost DOES NOT include the spa or buffet breakfast. Both these are highlighed prominently by the hotel, but I’m sure others like me will presume they are included. Not only are they not included, but they are a lot of money extra per day each.
2) some rooms are described as ‘courtyard or side street’. The courtyard is tiny so Inthink there is a 90% chance of getting the side street. This side street still has quite a bit of traffic, so may not be the quiet room you are anticipating. The other side of the street is an office block and the workers can see directly into your room, although net curtains are provided.
3) staff were very helpful, the hotel is spotless and in a great location.
4) We had previously stayed in a Marriott in Croatia which included buffet breakfast and spa, so it was our fault we didn’t navigate far enough into this hotel’s website to learn that these were extras at the Grand. We just assumed incorrectly that the daily rate covered them at this premium standard of hotel.

25 Nov 2025After staying in quite a lot of scandanavian hotels with their laid back/self sufficient approach, it was lovely to stay in a full service truly 5 star hotel again.
I had a deluxe room facing side street, the bathroom was gorgeously spacious with very large bath separate to shower.
I paid to use the spa 750SEK for hotel guests . It had a lot of different experiences and was a lovely way to unwind. Dinner at matbaren which I managed to book only a few days in advance, food was lovely. Service everywhere was fantastic. I' d choose to stay there again.
