Fantastic located hotel with value for money also.
Great situation for Sports venues, pubs & restaurants. Lovely old style hotel & very comfortable bed resulting in a brilliant sleep. As suggested to manager a large shower mat should be provided as bath seemed really slippery & I was very wary getting in & out due to a bad ankle. Lighting was also quite poor over this area although Shower itself was beautiful & hot. Breakfast was delicious & hot also. If resolved the shower points it's 10/10 every time.

The hotel is extremely old and in need of significant renovation, as the condition of the rooms, the exterior of the building, and the corridors is outdated. It smells of age and dampness. However, the staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Our room had a view of Cardiff Castle, and considering the price and location, the cost is justified.

Everything was amazing the rooms the service available and just the overall atmosphere nobody judged anyone professionalism was at its peek i enjoyed saying hi to the man behind the front desk every time i walked in and out unfortunately can't remember his name but he very much made me feel welcome only had to complain about my neighbours due to lots of shouting and banging but otherwise i absolutely loved it

Angel Hotel full of Angels
The hotel staff were exceptional! So very friendly and helpful. There was a rugby game on the Sunday at the stadium next door which meant the city had road closures from 12-8pm the staff offered advice on best local transport and car parking to meet our needs, they were very busy but appeared calm and friendly throughout our stay, very impressed and felt so welcome. One of the lifts wasn't working but the other was fine, a little slow but when on the 3rd floor still worth the wait! Breakfast buffet was well attended to, all restaurant staff were quick to assist and friendly, paying attention to cleaning plates and restocking the hot buffet at regular intervals. The cleaning staff were so friendly too! All round top service from this well placed hotel - we cant wait to return!

I stayed for one night in a twin room. The room was large and well equipped. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. Every single member of staff was friendly. Overall, I felt The Angel offered excellent value for money, the location is a real selling point.

Disappointing stay.
Booked a double room for one night. Shower drain blocked, grubby curtains, dirty radiator, no bedside lamps, room smelt musty. Breakfast OK. Won't book again, very disappointed. Complained after stay, had a dismissive apology from reception. Just not good enough.
