La plage de Petit-Havre

La plage de Petit-Havre

2/10 Terrible
"I had some dates changes, the manager made no attempt to facilitate or help with the situation. Upon finding the shower to working, there was no offer to remit a refund. Due to travel date changes, It turned out the room was only occupied for Nov 28-Dec 1, in spite of this fact we had paid for 7 days Nov 24-Dec 1. Not good. How this property has great review on your site is a mystery to me. I think the location should be reviewed in the future since it seems to me to mis-represent the details for this site. I am a gold member and I am very happy with Expedia however in this case I think you need to be my advocate and help, either with a coupon or credit to get this bad experience behind us. "

Karaibes Residence

8/10 Good
"The room was nice and spacious and the view was beautiful, though it was annoying having to insert the room card into the slot to get power. And the closet and shower were a little annoying. Patio kitchen was something new and "different". Activating the WiFi was really tricky. Staff was helpful and some spoke English, but check in process was so slow and the paperwork was only in French. Lots of restaurants in the area, but they don't open 'til mid-day, but there's a small store. Beaches, bus stop and hiking nearby. However, I deducted one star as we had roaches in our room on two different nights and toiletries were limited and we also had no water on our last morning. And I think the breakfast should cost half of what they're charging. The automated e-mail requesting additional payment or you'll lose your reservation gave me a real scare. I thought it was a phishing scam and almost canceled my cards and my entire trip. It would have been nice for Expedia to state that this fee is already included in the payment and to ignore the automated e-mail. But my biggest complaint is that while the property IS operated by Karaibes Hotel, it is actually called "Residence les Yuccas", NOT "Karaibes Residences". "Karaibes Residences" are a private apartment complex completely separate from the hotel. This information was not clearly communicated to us, and we must've spent well over an hour trying to get into every building in the area, before a maid finally told us where to go. "

Hotel Arawak Beach Resort

2/10 Terrible
"This was the worse experience of a hotel that I have ever stayed in on holiday. There was a cockroach infestation. They could be seen in the bathroom next to the sink and the bedroom area running behind the fridge. One was seen on my daughter's toothbrush head. The air vent was thick with dust and had hairs hanging from inside it, and the seal around the shower was mouldy. There is a derelict building site next to the hotel. The pool was out of use when we arrived. Awful is the word for this place. I left after two days as it was hazardous and unbearable."
