Good Location & Perks, Not So Good Room Condition
Good location and the breakfast plus manager special in the evenings really set Embassy Suites apart from the competition. However, this particular hotel needs to be fully renovated, we tried 5 different rooms and each one smelled of mold, not very healthy for any guests or cleaning crew that tends to each room.

Mixed bag
The staff was great and the common areas were very nice. The downsides were the condition of the room was not amazing (especially bathroom/shower), and also the in-room thermostat doesn't actually respond and we were way too warm (room got up to 74 even though we set thermostat at 66). Food (dinner) at the restaurant was not very good, though the breakfast omelets were great and there was a lot of variety available for breakfast. Hard to find true bedroom suites when travelling with kids, so we did like the room layout.

Average place to stay
Rooms were pretty dirty. Furnace in room barely worked. Decent place to stay for families but I would probably look elsewhere before booking this again

4/10 Fair

The rooms are in desperate need of repair and updates. The bed was comfortable, but the shower drain was broken, there was a large hole in the couch cushion and the room had a very strong odor of cat urine. We would have used room service, but the room phones were broken and we partially chose this hotel due to the indoor pool that ended up being closed during our stay. I notified the staff of my concerns and was offered generic condolences, but that was it.

There was no soap or conditioner in the shower. There was no room service and the breakfast that was offered ended at 9:30.

Hotel was overall 7 outta 10. Our room had a mildew smell and trash left behind curtains from last guest. The breakfast was great and the cocktail hour was a nice fearure for the hotel.

Very good quality - you get what you pay for.
We enjoyed our stay in this fine hotel The staff were friendly and helpful, and our spacious, well appointed room overlooked the river, which amplified the experience. Decent bar, in a lovely atrium, where complementary refreshments are available every evening; facilities to hold functions etc.; swimming pool and parking available for $12 per day. Cincinnati is a short walk away over the Roebling suspension bridge - handy for sports venues and entertainment venues. Not that expensive considering the quality of the place. Highly recommend.

DO BETTER
Came into town for a doctors appointment and immediately was hit with a mold smell upon entering the room. There was hair on teh bed, stained carpet and hair on the tilet seat. We were able to switch rooms but the new room also smelled of mold. Like an old beach motel that the carpet has been wet repeatedly from swimming. At breakfast we waited 15 minutes for someone to fill the empty food warmers with food. Then said something and they neglected to fill the bacon back up. The cook makign the made to order omlets was about the only positive thing.

D’s delight
I was cautiously optimistic about booking here due the inexpensive rate for a weekend. But I decided to give It a go and boy am I glad I did. Amazing room, location and amenities. The staff were wonderful and a very special person I will never forget is D from the breakfast grill I met him the night before very briefly but his personality had shown through and very down to earth special person. He told me to come by the next morning for an omelette and I’m sure glad I had, it was delicious (I’m making mine like that from now on). What a way to start your morning with the warmth of a friend and him feeding you. If you have the opportunity to stay here you need to and give my best to D and ask him for his D’s popper special.
