Very nice hotel with a high standard and good service. Stayed here for my honeymoon with my partner and we could not be more pleased. The staff is helpful and available 24/7. Only thing I would point out is that there are very few gluten free options, and there is no type of marking for allergies on the food. We will definitely be coming back here for our next trip to rio!

Beautiful hotel and amazing value on our booking. The Expedia VIP perk was the free buffet Dinner. The building looks new and the room are spacious and very comfortable. The pool is fantastic, the beach is just down from the pool, across the street. We stayed three nights but would have enjoyed staying more.

Re: Carnival
The hotel is quite nice and very busy die to Carnival. The room was clean and fairly modern. The staff was notified of a few deficiencies which were NOT rectified. 1) Railing on stairs pool sitting area was broken and was notnrepaired. 2) Room had nontoulet paper, had to find some even after notifying the front desk. 3) safety night latch on room door was sheared off and not repaired when staff notified. 4) Pool staff were overwhelmed and failed to deliver food order. Pool manager DID compensate. 5) Fitness room mat area was in disrepair.

Beware: Nice location but extremely unorganized
The hotel itself was nice. The location was decent. it’s conveniently located near the beach and not too far from any of the other tourist locations. The problem, however, is they seem very organized or incompetent. I checked in and 24 hours later was locked out of our rooms because they forgot to process our payments. Then, after we got the settled and paid for the rooms in total. They charged me again after we checked out. And trying to contact them about the charge has been nearly impossible. Oh btw, hotels.com customer assistance hasn’t made it easier. So, now I’m basically left disputing the second unjustifiable charge through my credit card company. So SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS

Our stay at Hotel Nacional Rio de Janeiro OFICIAL proved to be great, we only wished we could have stayed longer. The ocean view from our room was utterly amazing. The suite was spacious and well designed. We spent a lot of time out in the town, however the highlight of our stay was phonmenal bartender named Wanderson, he took pride in service and even more in his cocktails. We would definitely recommend this property.

I left a long review on Google but this property is amazing. I originally was only staying here for 5 days and was leaving to another area in Rio. I left after 5 days and stayed 1 day at another property and returned back to Hotel Nacionale. The employees, service, hospitality, safety, proximity to everything cannot be compared anywhere else. Stayed another 4 days at Hotel Nacionale and sooo grateful I did! I will never stay anywhere else!
