Surrounded by a national park, it is a gorgeous location and the town has everything- from authentic Irish pubs with live music to international cuisine (we loved the Thai restaurant), and good shopping! We loved Killarney!

We LOVED Killarney. We were just targeting a 5-start hotel in the SW region, but we ended up loving the town... some great restaurants, fun pubs w/ live music, didn't feel overly touristy (lots of locals in restaurants and pubs), beautiful area.

So walkable, with everything from groceries (with the full kitchen at Park Place) to great food to plenty of trad music just steps out the door. There's as much fun as you want, or it's quiet for a peaceful break.

"A quaint old-fashioned-- in good ways-- hotel. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Nice that they have an onsite restaurant, bar and very large breakfast room -- complete with a nice hot breakfast (that even includes Bailey's 😁). And a lift/elevator. Only 2 complaints: 1). One must either drive or take a taxi into town-- no public transportation close by and (2) No A/C or fans. Overall, though, a lovely place to stay."

The breakfast buffets had a lot of choices. The lunch or dinner meals were delicious. I told the the wait staff that what I liked about the food was that it was served hot on warm plates.
