one day there was no hot water and when asked to look into it, they said it is the main system problem and nothing can be done. Also after showering, I realize they did not put any towels ( and they remove the old towels, i.e. no towels). It only came after calling 4 times

Nice Hotel Front Desk and Lobby Staff.

Im pleased with the hotel staff as everyone is friendly and welcome you, I reached early and they managed to let me check in 1 room (i book 2) first. The room was spacious where my kids get to run around. The cons part: - Aircon was not in control, afternoon so hot but cant adjust colder. At night so cold, - Lobby no air con, so hot to be there - The towel is very old - My experience for the breakfast was terrible, I went down at 0900hr. Most of the table is not cleared. And when I request one of the senior waitress to clear including few set of the unused culterly, as the table was full of used and leftover food. The lady actually tell me those are clean. Happen the resturant manager was there, and i explain why i want it to change. The staff in the resturant was bad, never once i face this at accor hotels except Batam. - Location: I dont think it very convenient. Only 1 convenient store opp. but it near HarbourBay but not recommended to walk. - Swimming Pool access was tough, I went to check it out and decide not to bring my kids to swim as it was cold water in a hot day. and feel the water was alittle milky. Pros: - I wanted to said price, come think of it. I stayed in Novotel JKT. Clean and good only. But cheaper. - Spacious Room - Big Bed Novotel is a branding, i hope the group can do something to the hotel. I saw some renovation going on, but looking at the way they renovate. I dont think much changes can be made. Will i go back again, sorry NO.

sometimes disconnected from the wifi but when it's connected, the connection is good. love the bed as it's huge & definitely bigger than queen size. it's also located near (5 mins drive) the ferry terminal & shopping malls.

바탐에서 가족들과 2박을 했습니다. 페리터미널과 나고야힐 몰에서 가깝습니다. 주변에 야시장도 있고 조식도 맛있습니다. 수영장이 반실내이나 가족들과 즐기기에 좋습니다 .서비스도 좋고 전반적으로 만족스러웠습니다. 방을 2개 잡아 커넥팅 룸으로 사용해서 편리했습니다. 밤에 주변을 구경하기에는 너무 한적하고 위험한 면이 있습니다. 차를 타고 이동해야 합니다.

Old hotel with good location

I stayed only one night at Novotel Batam and it's enough. Yes, the price was very cheap, only IDR 540,000 oer night with breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child. The hotel is old and need renovation in all aspects. The only good point about this hotel is its location nearby to Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal to Singapore.

Nice hotel but poor facilities

This hotel is quite old and nearby to Barbour Bay seafood restaurant and other shopping malls like Nagoya Hill. The facilities as advertised is not what it seems, the gym and indoor swimming pool is old, outdated and have a bad smell inside. It was quite horrible for us. Both facilities was quite hidden, so you need to walk quite a bit from basement (G floor) through the Active Fitness to 2nd floor where you will pass by the gym first. Then take the stare to go up to 2nd floor to reach the indoor swimming pool as it just in front of The Square restaurant. Only recommend this hotel if you only want to use the room not the facilities.

Disappointed

I booked 4 Executive room explicitly requesting for 2 twin beds & 2 Queen beds but we were given 3 twin and 1 Queen. But the major disappointment was that the ventilation of the 3 out of the 4 rooms were very bad. Air Con was not working and we had to sleep in sweat for the 2 nights we were there. We feedbacked on the next morning and they sent the techinician to only 1 out of 3 rooms to have the air con checked. Even after repairing, no difference was felt. Each room was still very hot. It caused a lot of anxiety for us to stay indoor and relax, which was the main reason why we chose to stay in Novotel in the first place.

Used to stay in Novotel for my batam trip. The prices is good for a 5 star hotel. But the facilities turn out to be old and no maintenance is taken care off i dont think i will return again Bedsheet and Towel is not white anymore

A class 2 hotel service

Notice that the breasfast spread has reduced its variety of food. The receptionist attended to me was not well train. There is some " screw up" in the admin work. Need to wait for about 20 mins for my room. The even did not offer a welcome while making me to wait. The taxi to the batam center ferry point is too expensive, they should have the same rate in the market From my observations, most guest prefer to use the taxi service from external. ( reminder. Uber n Grab is now all over in batam ? ) ARRANGE TO FETCH FROM THE ARRIVAL PORT WAS NOT FULFILL

Convenient location. But hotel is very dated. Buffet is ordinary too. Got a room with an apparent "sea view", where in actual fact all we could see was a slimmer of the sea! Would I go back? Very unlikely.

Everything was fairly good, but the air-con was pretty cold at night though I've adjusted the temperature to 25 degrees. Perhaps during the CNY season, restaurant cant keep up with the food replenishment as well.

I was travelling with my family. My reservation turned out to be a mess as we were placed in room for couple instead of family of four, opposite to what we have actually booked. After negotiating, we managed to upgrade to a bigger room with a balcony as this Novotel basically do not have family room. Breakfast hamper was not bad but we cannot stand the smell from the bay. I immediately developed a sore throat and headache as the smell went into the ac and sticked around.

Friendly staff and nice hotel

This hotel is near to Harbour Bay Ferry terminal. You can even walk within like 15-20 minutes to this hotel from ferry terminal. (But it is not recommended to walk because there is no pavements or road crossings in the road :). You have to run through the incoming vehicles to cross the road.) So it is better to take a taxi. But I think you can even arrange to get a vehicle from hotel also. The hotel staff was friendly and polite. The rooms are also clean and spacious. The only problem was the view from few of the rooms we booked were not exactly beautiful. But some of the views were ok.
