The hotel is centrally located. We stayed there the night before the Geiranger fjord cruise. It was walkable from the hotel to the boat dock. Also, the hotel prepared a breakfast to go because we left before the dining room opened. It was very good service on their part.

Loved the property! Our king room on a higher floor had an amazing view of the town and water. View was just as good from our window as it was from that steep hike you can do to overlook the town. Ceiling to floor windows. We left curtains open all night it was so pretty. Staff was great. Friendly and nice Only criticism is parking. Had to parallel park on the hilly streets and move the car by like 7am or pay a lot for hotel lot. But parking in Norway at hotels is expensive and rare

We felt very unwelcome when we arrived to hotel. We stoped the car outside of the Hotel to ask where we can park, but the resceptionist came out and told us just to move the car away whitout helping to find a place where to park. We where first time in Ålesund and did not know where to park. We almost changed the hotel due to this unfriendly welcoming. We had wish for hig floor, but it was rejected even there was not many guest in the hotel at the moment. The room was clean, but the pillows in the bed where dirty, see the picture. On the breakfast there was used beer and wine glases on the tables from the evening before, see the picture.
