Comfortable, friendly, great location but dated
We booked for 1 night to stay after attending a concert in Manchester. The hotel is on a main road but the traffic noise didn't affect the room. Make Sure to use the hotels car park which is located at the rear through some secure gates as it is £5 for 24 hours where the car park at the front was £12 for 24 hours. The reception area is tastefully decorated and the check in swift and polite. Then as you go to the rooms, you see how dated the property is but it was clean and tidy. We had booked a double riim which was 2 single beds pushed rogether but oh so comfy, best nughts sleep in a long time! The bathroom was small but adequate. Our toilet didn't want to flush after use but perseverance sorted that! Along the road is a selection of bars and pubs, and takeaways for a last night feast. From what I could see there was a bar in the hotel but we didn't use this so cannot comment. I wouldn't rate the hotel anymore than a 3 star due to the condition of the rooms but for location, friendliness, bed comfort and price (we paid £61) it is a 5 star! We would certainly stay here again.

Booked a single and got upgraded to a double , rooms clean and tidy . Restaurant only had bar meals available but plenty of choice within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was good , be aware there is an additional fee of £5 to park on site.

Exceptional 10.0
Good option but a little out of the city centre
Excellent room and great service. The location is good for public transport into the city centre but it is a little way outside.

Overall ok
Would say was slightly over priced for what you got. Rooms were very clean but ours was dated and standard. Headboard was a hard wooden shelf which was dangerous as banged our heads on it a few times. Could do with modernising slightly.

We were in a ground floor room and because of the building being quite old it had very noisy, creaky floorboards. This meant we could hear the room above every time they walked about, not good at 6am! Everything else was lovely and spotlessly clean. On checking out, we mentioned how we had been woken up and immediately the staff were very apologetic and promptly gave us a complementary breakfast: which was very tasty. We would use this hotel again but would request a top floor room next time. I have given a non-commital rating for the area, as we did not really experience this, it was only an overnight stopover.
