Enjoyed my pre-cruise stay at the citizenM. Check in is very informal, instead of the usual counter top it was a clerk at a table with a computer - very quick and easy.
I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a larger room - there was ample space for my stay, but must say that there isn't very much storage space for a much longer stay, especially for more than one occupant.
The bed was comfortable, with TV and fridge provided, all that was missing (to my surprise) was tea and coffee making equipment . The bathroom was very clean, with soap/towels etc. provided. I had a sea-facing room, the hotel is very near the cruise port and I could just about see the cruise ships from my window! There is quite a large market/coffee/bar waterside area a few minutes away.
Breakfast was buffet style, with a very good choice - can't think of anything that was missing! The bar was in the same area. The reception/public area was very well planned. Instead of rows of tables and chairs etc, it was set up into different areas with different seating/tables in each one, plus a long table with plenty of room for computers etc. I saw just one desktop computer provided, but most people have their own kit with them anyway.
The staff were very helpful - I asked where I could find some shops (being a woman, what else?) and was directed to a shopping centre via the overhead trolley system, just a few yards from the hotel which was FREE, and seemed to cover most of the city.
I would stay there again.
