25 Sept 2026The room was great, quiet street. Checkin was easy, if driving, parking the car to checkin could be tricky. The balcony was spacious. There is construction next door which starts at 8:00 every morning.

16 Jun 2026Staff at the Hotel Madeira, where you have to check in or book any excursions, were exceptionally helpful.
The Madeira Gems apartment I stayed in was excellent - very clean and had everything you need. It is across from a lovely park which had some music playing while I was there. The windows were very soundproof so it was not a disturbance at all. The location is also great.
The construction going on next door wasn’t a bother at all.
I would definitely stay there again.

6 Oct 2025Stunning apartment in the heart of Funchal. Check in was great at Hotel Madeira and we were shown to the apartment and had everything explained to us. The apartment was very spacious, large rooms, comfortable beds and sparkling bathrooms. The terrace was a lovely touch with ample space for a meal or coffee. Kitchen was fully stocked with good appliances. We also used the pool and bar in Hotel Madeira which were great, good prices and nice drinks. Everything is walkable from the apartment so the location is perfect. There was building work happening next door so it was a bit noisy during the day, but we were out for most of the time so it wasn’t a huge issue. I would love to stay here again.

10 Jan 2026Fin stor lejlighed med god altan. Desværre lugtede der af kloak fra badeværelset gentagne gange og varmen i soveværelset rungerede ikke. Personalet på Hotel Madeira var yderst hjælpsomme. Fin morgenmad
