The location was great, 10-15 minutes to the train, to the colloseum to and to trevi. you couldn't get much better then this. The rooms aren't plush or modern but they are spacious and offer everything that you need. The beds were a bit bouncy but comfy enough. The breakfast was great - so much choice and lots of it.

Our Great Roman Holiday
Having read one or two negative reviews, we arrived and were very satisfied with what we found. The bed was very comfortable, the air-conditioning was a very welcome necessity and the provision of a fridge in the room a special bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast each morning with a good selection of continental breakfast stuffs. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were visiting Rome as tourists and found the location very good for all the major sites.

Adequate but a little noisy
Hotel feels a little old and dark and a basic for the money. However, it was clean, staff were friendly and everything worked as advertised. Breakfast was typical continental style with an OK choice but with 'nectars' rather than fresh juices or juices from concentrates. Family room was prepared with four beds as pre-booked and was cleaned daily. One significant drawback is that the hotel is directly opposite a couple of bars (on a very narrow street) so that it can be rather noisy in the small hours particularly at the weekend. It is about 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum, walking distance to Termini train station, and there are a few good restaurants (and bars) within a couple of minutes stroll.

Scots Rugby fans in Rome
The Hotel Tirreno is a good central location not far from the Main Train Station. It is a typical style of Hotel that you find in Rome. Saturday night was a bit noisy outside as it is near an Irish Bar and it was St. Patricks day and Ireland had won the Grand Slam at the Rugby. Rooms are of a good size and re clean and comfortable. Breakfast is Buffet style and was adequate. We did not get to try the Roof garden due to the weather but it looked a nice place to chill with a beer.

Good value for money
A fairly basic, but clean hotel just 10mins walk from the Colosseum. We had a family room which was great and included a mini bar. There was no tea/coffee facilities which would have been a welcome addition. The staff were all v friendly and we would definitely recommend the two restaurants in the same small street - Il Brigantino and La Forchetta d'Oro.

Our family of 5 had an enjoyable stay in the hotel. Great location and value for money

Good 6.0
This hotel has the basics. It was an easy walk from the train station and to the hop-on hop-off bus tour. The bed was very firm and the linens were very thin. The room appeared clean on the surface but had dirty tissues in the drawer and paperwork from previous guest. The staff was friendly and helpful which made the experience much better. The breakfast was simple but tasty.

Best bet near Termini
We stayed here 5 years ago and liked it so much we returned. Have seen reviews saying the property is dated but that is unfair. Tidy smallish rooms with balconies and great air conditioning, plus attentive staff and a good continental breakfast at a place near the train station, the colloseum, a laundry and terrific restaurants makes it nearly perfect.

Not a great stay
The staff were friendly and the location great. The hotel however is old and not very clean. The room extremely small with s tiny bathroom/shower that didn’t drain. Breakfast was okay.

The whole stay was great. Young man on the desk was amazing. Beds could do with some attention. Breakfast very good.
