Convenient for Train to Bern

Stettlen is in a good location for public transport. The train station is 2 minutes walk away and has a direct link to Bern. This is why we chose this hotel. There is a large car park behind the hotel. Food was good and breakfast plentiful.

Nous y avons passé une nuit. Logement propre, personnel aimable (nous avons communiqué en Englais) et serviable (nous a prêté une prise adaptateur UE), le petit déjeuner plutôt basique, en revanche les oreillers étaient vraiment mauvais…! C’est un détail qui en hôtellerie à vraiment de l’importance! Pour terminer sur une note positive, les chiens sont acceptés, et je n’ai pas eu de frais supplémentaires.

Tipico hotel Svizzero di provincia. Anni 70, vecchiotto e molto semplice, ma i proprietari gentili, la pulizia e una buona colazione sono quello che servono per una sosta di una notte. Certo il prezzo è altissimo se confrontato con il corrispettivo di servizio in qualunque paese del mondo, ma è lo standard svizzero. Ribadisco come sempre nelle recensioni: non mi si parli dell'hotellerie Svizzera come un esempio. Forse negli anni 60 e 70 lo era!

This hotel SHOULD BE REMOVED from Expedia. We arrived there at 1030 PM on a taxi, the doors were locked, the lights were off and there was no one to be found for check in. We looked around the property and it was SKETCHY AND SCARY. We knocked at the doors of the hotel and adjacent restaurant and pressed the door bell multiple times! Never received an answer. We called the hotel phone number but to no avail. We called Expedia but no one answered. Thankfully our Taxi driver who was a local waited with us and tried to reach out to other locals. In the end we ended up having to find a rather expensive last minute booking at another hotel. We ended up spending more money on taxi to go there! And guess what EXPEDIA takes no responsibility and their customer service agents find that we “are not willing to understand”. After having used their platform for numerous bookings, I have my doubts now. I can say that also after they didn’t give me my booking points in 2016 .. but I don’t want to dilute. ANYWAYS, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. SAVE YOURSELF SOME AGONY.

Basic hotel amenities. Not far from Bern center, so if one has a car, it is pretty convenient. Free car parking is helpful.
