26 Jan 2025The place was clean and quiet. Glass windows and door had no blinds except the back porch. So make sure you wear clothes if you arent comfortable about being seen naked. The back porch blind would not stay open. Not a horrible spot but would like to be a little closer to the hill and have a microwave in the room. Also my room didnt have an internet so had to use the common area for internet access.

26 Aug 2024Private cabin in the woods, with brand new, modern facilities. It was perfect for relaxing and unwinding with huge windows, a fantastic deck, a coffee/tea machine and a fridge for the champagne, food and breakfast we packed. We did venture out to Three Notches Brewery and Bold Rock Cidery, which were a couple of minutes drive away, and Devils Backbone which was across the street. We also visited the local grocery and ABC which was a couple of minutes away also. There are many breweries, wineries and distilleries in this area, as well as many hiking trails and golf. We didn’t have time to try it all, but we look forward to returning! Communication with the owners before, and after booking was great! Although there is no manager onsite, the owners responded immediately while we were there. It was the perfect venue for us. Thank you!

9 Jun 2025This site is beautiful and many of the units have beautiful views. Was a bit disappointed that our unit was on road level and did not have as much of a view. There is no one on staff at the site. While there is a lovely lounge with a dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator, there are no utensils or serving ware. Small refrigerator in room as well but no ice and no ice machine. While the large glass windows were mirrored so you could not look in from the outside, the front door had no window tint or shade option so you were fully visible making your way to the bathroom. Still a beautiful space. Most concerning was a very strong unpleasant smell to the water. It was very noticeable and unpleasant.

Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, design was nice, bathroom was nice and comfy. A couple of caveats: there are no microwaves in the rooms. I understand the potential risk of having one in the rooms and they have one in the lounge building, but being in a semi-secluded space where you need to heat up food somehow would be much more convenient. Also, the pictures for EACH suite should be updated specific to the suite you are renting. The pictures are kinda generic and you don’t know what they look like specifically. We had no idea Suite 8 would actually be attached to the lounge building and the terrace was facing the “main road”. We came here for our anniversary and if we would’ve known there would be less privacy, we would have picked another suite. Also, I would advise that a roll down curtain be installed for the front doors. You can see right through to the suite because of the glass doors, and if you’re walking out of the bathroom, people can absolutely see you. Especially if you have suite 8 that’s attached to the lounge building. We had to use one of the flat sheets to cover the glass door so we can have some privacy. It was highly inconvenient if we had to go in and out of the suite. Other than the privacy issue and lack of a balcony (we thought our suite had one) it’s nice.

22 Jun 2026Cabins are more spacious inside than they appear. Very clean throughout, and the bed was super comfortable. Cute decor and nice shower/tub combo with good water pressure and hot water. Cabin # 2's deck is visible to Cabin # 3 and vice versa if sitting on the deck, but it was otherwise very private and peaceful. You could walk to Devil's Backbone and are within a 1-5 minute drive to DB, Blue Toad, Bold Rock, Three Notch'd, and many other breweries, cideries, wineries, and restaurants. Cannot beat the location! Easy self-check-in/out, good signage, and easy to find. We stayed 1 night, so we didn't need a microwave, but could see where this would be an amenity to be desired in the unit itself if staying longer. There is a microwave in the shared lodge, so if you need access to one frequently, then I would recommend staying in unit # 7-10 as it is a closer and easier walk to get to. Also, the tubs are deep and require a larger step in/out, so I would suggest one of the units that has the walk-in shower if you have mobility issues. I believe 2 units are more mobility accessible. I would recommend this property to family and friends and will return when visiting the area again. Great stay!
