The front desk person was amazing. Very friendly. The room was neely renovated and clean. But the entry door of rlthe room had huge gaps, let in all the light, sound and air. The door seemed like it may be unsafe. And with the gaps being that big, the noise from unruley person in parking lot kep me up all night.

The room was very nice, very clean. Only gave an overall review of a 3 is because we could not watch TV because of their internet and there was no heat in our room. But the staff was very nice and gave us extra blankets.

GET BETTER WI-FI
Liked the price and how new it was but didn't receive no housekeeping till i tracked them down then entered my room afterwards with no time to respond to a door knock then no English speaking person which wasn't a problem till entered my room unexpectedly after told them didn't need service but not their fault had no do not disturb tags then oh my gosh (((((WI-FI))))) IS TERRIBLE but other then that it wasn't bad at all will stay again they need to upgrade WI-FI 4 SURE

Nothing against this property, but we will not be staying in this area again, drag racing, horning honking, drunks partying in the street. So loud, we were not able to sleep until well after 2am. In reference to this property, women in general HATE rain shower heads, we don’t always want to get our hair wet, if you have rain showers, you should provide shower caps.

Our stay was great. The boardwalk was amazing. We had plenty food options. Not many activities. It was mustang week when we went so extremely noisy at night. The hotel room was nice, the door didn’t shut all the way, the mattress was yellow stained underneath after we took the sheets off before we left. There wasn’t a way to keep the floor swept at all, you’d think with the beach being across the street that would be convient for rooms to already have. The staff was extremely sweet when I needed to go to the office for anything at all. Especially the lady during night shift. Pool is very small, couldn’t really get any space there… I will definitely like to come again!

I LOVE THIS PLACE !!! I've stayed in hotels around the world & 5th & Ocean is easily in my top 5 list of favorite hotels. From the friendly,pleasant, helpful & professional receptionist (a young Jamaican lady whose name I can't recall) to the cleanliness and mordern decor of the room to the close proximity to the boardwalk, restaurants, beach etc. This place is incredible and I highly recommend it to anybody visiting Myrtle Beach.

Cheap and cheerful newly renovated hotel, short walk to the skywheel, one block away from the ocean. Room was comfortable with lots of space around the king size bed. Fridge, microwave and large flat screen TV. Staff were good and polite.
