The hotel was really nice and clean with a good location next to the lake and lifts. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The only minus is the lack of air conditioning / fans. We wisited in August when it was +30 degrees outside, so the room was quite warm as well. Also it was hard to sleep with windows open as there was some noise coming from the streets and restaurants nearby. Would still visit again!

We loved Zell am see and this hotel! The staff was super helpful, the food in the restaurant was AMAZING and the room was fabulous. The only minus was that there was no airconditioning. We got two fans(?) and they helped a bit, but it was still very warm.

Hotel location close to ski lifts or bus was great. Very easy for access to rest of the town. Staff were nice and the hotel and rooms were spotless. Breakfast choice was amazing. Bed comfortable, bathroom modern and room was spacious. Did not eat at the hotel at night so can’t comment. The only negative was the noise from the main road into our room but think this was worse than normal due to underground road below the town being closed during our stay. If you want ski lessons then we would recommend Matt at the ski school at Schmitten station.

Perfect location for the centre without being disturbed. Authentic accommodation with an excellent choice at breakfast. Evening meal was optional which we enjoyed as the quality and service was exceptional, a little expensive but you definitely pay for what you get. Staff are very pleasant and spoke good English which made our stay more enjoyable. The Junior suite was a good size very clean and serviced everyday. Unfortunately there is no tea & coffee facilities in the room or air conditioning when staying in the summer. This may be uncomfortable on hot days. Overall I would highly recommend and we plan to return in the winter months

This was a lovely hotel - particularly in the bar and reception area. We ate at their restaurant and the food was fabulous if a little pricey. The rooms were spacious and clean (we had a superior double) and it’s incredibly well placed in the centre of Zell am See so plenty of buses to other ski areas. The towels were a little on the small side and quite harsh and the body and hair gel was not replaced often enough so we ran out twice. Also there are no tea and coffee facilities but we asked for a kettle! Everything else was great. Ski rental is nearly opposite and train station only a few minutes walk away. Hotel staff very helpful.

Never again!

Was a very bad experience for us for many reasons, will never book this hotel again: 1) there are many bars under the hotel, so it’s so noisy and you would not be able to sleep till 3:00 am due to the people shouting and screaming all night. Closing the windows was not an option as there is no AC !! 2) towels were smelling bad. 3) no parking available for the car, u less you pay 15 Euro every day!! 4) very poor breakfast. 5) old furniture. On the other hand, the staff were friendly.

The perfect spot of you would like walking distance to most attractions, shops and restaurants. The service was amazing and so was breakfast and dinner. This is a very traditional hotel interior-wise, so if you are after an Austrian alp experience, this is a great place. The streets are very busy with people at night, so of you are after a quiet place, stay outside Zell am See. We all slept very well and are happy to return.

Wonderful in every aspect!

Wow!! We only stayed at Hotel Zum Hirschen for one night in room 346, but we did not want to leave and wished we could’ve stayed longer. This hotel is fantastic, great staff, great food, nice bar, a lovely little pool and the saunas. The rooms are incredible, spacious enough to stay for an extended period as they are like mini apartments. The bed was amazing and the pillows so soft. The room was quiet, cool and dark. Slept like a baby 💤 We were able to park our motorcycle in the adjoining covered garage. Reception ladies both lovely and friendly as well as the restaurant staff. Breakfast was excellent with a large selection of hot and cold dishes. We could not fault the hotel on any level, clean and spotless, with pleasing decor. We want to come back and would highly recommend.

Super fint hotel. Langt over vores forventning. Men også det dyreste på hele vores sommerferie. Super lækkert placeret i midten af det hele. God værelses størrelse. Fungerede godt med parkering og hende i receptionen tog godt imod os. Der var dog lige et par meeen…. Der lugtede virkelig dårligt på badeværelset i perioder. Altså virkelig dårligt! Bruseren var noget sløv til hårvask og man skal ikke være alt for høj 😅 Gulvet knager helt vildt. Lidt upraktisk med en baby 🙄 Der lugter lidt af køkken/mad i hele værelset. Der er ikke aircon og der blev ret varmt om natten. Hjalp heldigvis med åben dør. Dog larmer vejen ude foran virkelig meget fra tidlig morgen. Morgenmadsdamen var ikke særlig serviceminded eller glad for at vejlede på engelsk. Morgenmaden var dog fin. Kun adgang til elevator efter man er kommet op ad en del trapper. Wifi fungerer virkelig dårligt og vi kunne ikke komme på det meste af tiden. Sengene er ved at være trætte. Man falder lidt ned i en fordybning.

Genuint hotell med perfekt läge

Fint hotell med bra pool (mest uppskattad av barnen) och bastu och toppenläge nära CityExpress-liften. Frukosten var utmärkt alla dagar och de tre middagarna vi åt likaså. Kan verkligen rekommendera! Två små förbättringsområden: Osköna kuddar och avsaknad av hygienprodukter (schampo/balsam/lotion).

Mycket fin service, frukost och restaurang i toppklass. Synd att det inte fanns någon som helst ventilation på rummet. I övrigt ett väldigt trevligt rum. Fick bra parkering i deras garage.
