Cool place but can be noisy
We enjoyed everything about our stay in this apartment. It is in a great location in the heart of Casco Viejo within walking distance of shops, restaurants and sights. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths which would be great for a family or couples traveling together. The views from the living areas, patios and bedroom are spectacular. Communication from the host was thorough and prompt. Would highly recommended this apartment with 2 cautions. First is that the building is adjacent to Casa Casco (restaurant/club) which has a rooftop bar. Our stay was on a Saturday and Sunday night and the bar was very loud. They had a DJ one night that went very late into the night. I think they are open until 3 am but we managed to fall asleep before then. I don’t know what it is like during the week but the noise at least on the weekend can be a major concern.
Secondly, although not a concern for us because we did not have a car but parking is extremely limited and traffic in Casco Viejo is awful. I cannot imagine driving there. It is definitely a pedestrian oriented destination. Overall a great place but if you prefer quiet serenity at night, this may not be your best choice.
