The owner overbooked the apartment we reserved and then wanted us to stay in three different units for the four nights we reserved. We didn’t find out about the overbooking until we arrived to check in. The owner should have messaged us about his mistake as soon as he discovered it.
The owner said we could cancel our reservation, stay the four nights, or only stay the first night of our reservation. We were able to make other reservations in a much nicer apartment after the first night. We are so happy we didn’t stay at Apartment Mia for more than one night. The bathroom wall and ceiling had visible mold and the patio area when we checked in smelled from the owner’s cigarette smoke.
It took several hours during our vacation to find other accommodations and handle the refund through Expedia.
