Don't expect any help booking transportation
Don't expect any help booking transportation to other destinations in Vietnam. The guy at the front desk would not even tell me how it works for pickups in the narrow alley where the hotel is located. Kept repeating "I don't know" to everything. Two days later, at checkout he asks me if I want a shuttle to the airport! Hmmm, NOW you want to help? The rest of the staff were great, especially the ones in the restaurant. Very attentive and friendly.

The interior design is magnificent, the dining area in level 12 is well down designed and the food was up to standard. The rooftop bar is beautiful I'd only suggest to allocate more lighting (like fairy lights) to make it more bright and cute, and then music to be expand to the other areas of the rooftop, not only in the bar. The bartenders, the front desk and dinigng team were fabulous. I will definitely stay back here in my next trip to Hanoi

Dark rooms (dark wooden panelling on all walls), but clean. Quiet and good location in alley in the Quarter. Unfortunately we had to leave early, and the hotel refused to give us a refund on the unused nights. For that reason, I will not be staying here again

Great place to stay in Old Quarter
Excellent location for Old Quarter. Close to everything including the lake, night market, bars and places to eat. Old traditional design and cute. Staff is helpful and nice. I even have to cancel one night last minute because of visa issue and they have been accommodating. This would have been a 5-star review but two things really need attention. 1. There is nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Very odd that there is no bar/hooks in the bathroom. Have to bring towels to hang in the closet space outside. One has to put towel on top of toilet seat when showering. 2. Nowhere to put shampoo/shower gel except on the floor. Simply impractical design. This is located right by the wet market where local people shop for meat, chicken and such.

Hanoi is already a very cost-effective city for the foreign traveller, so there are a lot of quite good hotels at very reasonable prices, but this hotel is my favourite, so far. Without quite stretching to a decadent colonial-era five-star, Kecho Legacy comes close in its quite way. It's off any of the main streets in a quaint alley surrounded by delicious street-food aromas. The interior is the most impressive, and feels like museum or gallery of beautiful objects and artworks of Vietnam. The decor of the rooms also reflects this, with very beautiful design detail. Like many such hotels, there is a sky-bar on the roof, but this one is nicer than most, with a cozy size, and glass-floored ramps, little extra platforms for a very private individual table or two, and more. The staff seamlessly attended to requests for transfers and other needs. I'll choose this hotel again, when I next return to this wonderful city.

A truly unique hotel - amazing!
I recently stayed at the Kecho Legacy Hotel in Hanoi, and it was truly a unique and unforgettable experience. The hotel’s design transported me back in time with its traditional Vietnamese aesthetic. The rooms were beautifully styled with rich, dark wood, vaulted ceilings, and a blend of wood and tiled floors that made me feel like I was staying in an old Vietnamese home. One of the standout features was the rooftop deck. It was thoughtfully designed with intricate, old-world architecture that added to the hotel’s charm. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the city from above. The breakfast was exceptional—not only was the food delicious, but the buffet was impeccably maintained and beautifully presented. It was clear that every detail was carefully thought out to create a wonderful dining experience. The lobby deserves a special mention as well—it felt like walking into a museum exhibit, filled with cultural touches that set the tone for a memorable stay. The only downside was the bathroom design. The shower drained very slowly, and since there wasn’t a barrier between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, it would flood within minutes of use. It was a bit inconvenient, but it didn’t detract too much from an otherwise amazing stay. If you’re looking for a place that’s rich in character and offers a deep sense of place, Kecho Legacy Hotel is an incredible choice. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
